Description
It's time to visit this place again.....
It's an alternate story. Tasi has never visited Fort Al-Mamaru. But you did.
You're a spy who snuck into this French fortification to get important military information. Unfortunately for you, the French realized who you were and imprisoned you for further interrogation.
While you were sitting in your cell waiting for your fate, the French started fighting with someone, you heard screams and gunshots. This went on for a few days until things finally quieted down. You need to find a way to escape.

Is this mod just a copy of the map from Amnesia Rebirth?
No! Although there is one map ported from Rebirth, most of the gameplay takes place in two new underground locations.

What do you need to know before you play?
- In the mod folder (Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\1944430\3317378289) there is a folder with hints. If you are stuck and can't find a way to progress, feel free to open this folder, maybe it will help you out. But I hope you'll try to get through the mod without any hints.
- The ways to use some items are now restricted.
- New items have no animations, just like in previous Amnesia games. But they are used just like all the other items in the Bunker. Focus first, then use them.
- Important notes are red-tagged. If there is a mark on a note, it means it gives a hint or information about a task that has not yet been completed.

Honestly, I found the valve puzzle hard more so because of a miscommunication in the note talking about the solution. The sentence they wrote was misleading and I don't think this was intentional, it's simply what they thought it meant wasn't what it actually meant: the hint is a conjunction separated by a comma, the main clause (in this case, the first half of the sentence) stating there are two valves on one of the walls which implies that the hint about their angles (the subordinate clause) is referring to the valves on the wall with two valves, so I thought that valves 1 and 2 must be 90 and 180 degrees because those are the only two valves on that wall who's angles matter to the puzzle (because the 3rd is the master valve)

Dev, if you're reading this, I recommend re-writing that hint as "one valve's angle must be half of the angle of another valve on the same wall" or something to this effect because the second hint is very misleading.

Absolute Cinema!
I am very happy to have tried this out. The puzzles were all excellent (except one the valve handle puzzle for the gate took me a while.
The story was well made plus the environmental storytelling.
Altough its pretty easy on normal as i didnt die once, or had to use any of the ammo/granades that i found.
But over all this is a must try custom story that feels like dlc. I really have to congratulate you for your first mod!

Also whoever had the idea of Taking away the shotgun when you were about to get it out of the locker is a genius. Whoever i was really thinking that i was going to fight the blind shotgunner (Dombrowski) at the end.

Good custom story, it reminds me of the idea I wanted to share with Frictional for a new Amnesia game.

exceeded the character limit. here's the last one:

- room at the end of the hall: this one's pure spoilers, so i hope you refrain from reading this if you are still halfway through the mod. if you are referring to the chef's room where you are supposed to place the vases, the code is found in the note from one of the workers who's been renovating the room.

hi guys, additional dev here! i myself deeply adore all the kind words you've written and i'll try to get them to the main dev when i can. i especially love the fact that you are comparing it to an official release :)

as for the questions you guys had:

- door in the courtyard: as you may already have noticed, while the mods uses the courtyard map from Rebirth, there are some new elements present, and there are also some that are omitted, like the door in question. tldr: no, there is no way to open that door.

- the wire snapping noise: as i'm not the main dev, i don't really remember what you're referring to, but i assume that it is purely for atmospheric purposes.

- the second easter egg: it wouldn't be that much of an easter egg if you were told where it is, would it? :) but i've got a little hint for you: it is on the main courtyard map

This mod was really good. but where was the code for the room at the end of the hall. I had all the vases. I had the shotgun (loved the twist there, scared me). but i never could find the door code. I searched everywhere. had to cheat to enter the room.

This custom story is legit the best one I've ever played. There was so much to it, and I was perched on the edge of my seat the whole time. The notes, the objectives, they all felt super immersive and well thought out, and the map was awesomely designed. So many aspects of the map made the story feel like an expansion of the base game. So cool, 10/10!

honestly if you told me this was official I would'n bet an eye.

I need to ask however: Is there a way to open the door in the courtryard.
Does the wire snapping noise when you pick up the shotgun do anything.
I also heard there is a second easter egg, if you could tell me I would be glad.
