Offroad Go Brrr [B42 Compatible]

Description
This mod changes the behavior of vehicles offroad
With default settings Heavy-Duty vehicles become comfortable to drive offroad, Standard vehicles feel tolerable offroad and Sport cars might struggle a bit especially when towing offroad

Info
  • Can be added/removed to/from existing saves
  • Works in Multiplayer (thanks @Dukenukem64x for help with testing)
  • Default multipliers are set around lore friendly KI5 vehicles, fun and multiplayer
  • You can make it more "realistic" by setting multipliers to 0.5 1.0 1.5 in Sandbox Options
  • Sandbox Options can be changed on the fly, no need to restart the server
  • It is possible to disable the effect for specific vehicle types via Sandbox Options
  • Hover the mouse over Sandbox Options input fields for detailed info in the tooltips

Notes
  • Should work well with vanilla and other vehicle mods
  • This is achieved through dynamic vehicle mass adjustment, in ideal world I'd implement it through horse power, but it is what it is
  • Thresholds are adjustable for the sake of it, normally you shouldn't need to change them
  • Code is optimized for performance, there should be little to no impact
  • Some vehicles are treated not by their type, for instance vehicles with RPM type "van" like vanilla vans
  • Change Sandbox Options (by Star) can be used to adjust values for existing save
  • Keeping vehicle empty and stripping it from unnecessary parts further improves offroad performance
  • As with my other mods, updates happen at 13 GMT+2 (7AM EST)

Check my other mods, maybe you'd like some of them

Added to existing B42 save and doesn't seem to do anything for me... I'm in a Van and towing a trailer. Can't go lower than the .5, .75, 1.5 defaults using sandbox options mod and I can't seem to get it to make any difference.

@Luizeraon this is AM General M35A2 from KI5, you can find a link to his workshop in the mod's description

Where can I find this truck?

Ahhh yeah that was also something I'd picked up on, 20 being the right kind of middle ground since it's just before you shift up a gear if I recall. Cheers for the tip though, good to know that trailers don't work the same way! :>

@Hung Trans Bun not this issue, atm even with this mod you have to stay in the first gear when towing another car offroad (cruise control to 20kph and you're good), trailers should be fine though

Seriously? Fascinating. I had felt that there was a weird quirk with B42's towing stuff as I'd always have to be at or below 10 miles for it to tow, otherwise it'd just come to a stop. Esp if it shifted into second gear.

@Peizar :spiffo:

@Hung Trans Bun towing boost for offroad vehicles regardless of pavement is disabled in b42 due to weird bug which makes rear wheels sink into the ground

When it comes to things like offroading, the heavy vehicles doing it best is a godsend, first of all. Always felt weird that sports cars did the best and not something like a ute or something. Does it affect towing in general as well? Or strictly offroad stuff?
