Description
SV Class 1, Core 7, Unlock Level 25 - Reforged Eden 2 Only

Primary roles: High gravity mining, salvaging, shield, gun, utility

The Scarab-HG1-RE2 is a high gravity miner/salvager designed to work in mining tunnels. It also comes with a bunch of quality of life features including a constructor and clone chamber as well as an advanced shield and Gatling gun.

Stock Features

The HG1 comes stock with 8 mechanical drills in a large bore spread, 4 industrial multi tools (salvaging), long range radar, constructor, 4 spot lights, fridge, passenger seat, advanced shield with 8306 HP, clone chamber, o2 and dispenser, trauma station, armor locker, wifi, Gatling gun, 10K harvest storage, 500 ammo storage, and a small cargo box.

Upgrade optons

The Scarab-HG1 doesn't have a lot of upgrade potential however one possible upgrade could be replacing the 2 1x3 generators with a fission reactor, removing passenger seat and adding a superior CPU core, and swamping out the mechanical drills with lasers drills. However this is not really needed.

Offense and defense

The hull is built with steel and cargo extensions. Most of the cargo extensions are not exposed on the outer hull. It comes with an advanced shield with 8306 HP, Gatling gun, and 500 ammo storage.

Features Summary:

1. SV Class 1, Core 7 RE2 , Unlock 25 - Reforged Eden 2 only
2. Steel hull with advanced shield (8306 HP), pentaxid tank
3. 10K Harvest storage, 500 Ammo storage
4. WiFi, long range radar, armor locker, fridge, constructor
5. O2 and dispenser, clone chamber, passenger seat
6. 1 cargo box, trauma station, 4 spotlights (p menu control)
7. High powered plasma thrusters for 4G+ environments.
8. Can move a full harvest load in 4G with little to no issues.
9. 8 Mechanical drills, 4 industrial multi tools

I hope you enjoy!

Notes: I built this for game play and I have tested this a fair amount and made several modifications to it before release. This design uses plasma thrusters and will require 20 plasma converters. Also due to the advanced shield and long range radar it will also need 15 platinum, 2 advanced upgrade kits, and 4 communication equipment. Beyond that pretty much just standard resources. The items listed here are all available to buy in game at various shops or can be acquired by looting POI's.

The 4 spotlights are set up to light up mining tunnels well in the dark (P menu control). Also there are P menu controls for the mining drills (on by default), industrial multi tools (off by default), and the constructor (off by default)

The rear door, ramp, and light are controlled by the landing gear and not a sensor. So if the creation is landed, the door and ramp deploy.

One last thing to note, you can deploy a drone from within the interior and release it through the back door. It is recommended to face forward in the creation while crouching to do this.

I was talking specifically about the glass being squishy but yeah miners too. No real way around it tbh. Still it's a great build so well done sir!

Hey Jrandall, thanks for the new ship !

Thank you D00mnoodle and filbertfarmer! @D00mnoodle, they normally are squishy because they are small with a lot of explody parts. But building a more armored version that is bigger doesn't work to well for mining, at least going in bore holes. Add in CPU on top of that, and they tend to be squishy or really pricey. And thanks again all!

Great miner J!

Miners always kinda look the same but you still made it look pretty good! I especially love that you use an interior cockpit with those angled glass blocks, i love those shapes and would use them more if they had some more health. I still don't know why they're so squishy :(
