How to set keybinds for Leap Attack and Guard Break ( Using Universal Control Remapper )
By EnderCorePL
This guide will show you how to set up keybinds for Leap Attack and Guard Break for Mouse/keyboard controls. Those attacks are notoriously hard to perform on PC due to the required frame perfect input.

Using UCR you can set the keys on your keyboard or mouse to correspond to other inputs simultaneously, as shown in this guide.

1. In-game setup and downloading UCR

First, set Heavy attack and Light Attack keyboard bindings to whatever you'd like your Leap and Guard Break be respepectively. Personally, I'm using Z and X keys, and so will this guide.

Now that's setup, follow this link and download the .zip file. Once it finishes downloading, unpack it to any location on your PC where you wish to install it. Then open UCR.exe and we're ready to begin!

2. Setting up the profile

Once the program is open, click on the Add Profile icon, then name it what whatever you'd like

Now set your input and output to whichever keyboard you are currently using.
3. Setting the controls and saving the profile.

Now that the profile is set, select "Button to Button" option. Then set Input to the Heavy Attack key and output to your forward key. ( Here, Z and W respectively )

Repeat this step for the Light Attack key

Now click the Floppy Disk icon to save the profile.
3.5 OPTIONAL: Setting separate keybind

If you want to keep Heavy and Light attacks a separate keybinds, you can instead set the preferred leap attack and guard break button inputs to correspond to whichever bind you want the base attacks to be. Just click the "+" icon and select "button to button" then add corresponding bind.
4. Launching the profile + additional notes

Back to the program's main/profile window, click the Play Button to activate the profile, now upon pressing either Heavy or Light Attack button, forward movement will also be read as an input.

Notes:

- You will need to launch the program and the profile each time you want to play DS2 with this method, since this does not save any inputs or modify the title itself.

- I do not think there is any possibility of this method getting you soft banned for the same reason. I may be wrong, I'm no expert on the matter, but I see no logical way this would be the case.

- The Leaps and Guard breaks should be 100% consistant with this method, with the "Disable Double Click" setting enabled. The character however will not perform the attacks should they be in walking animation, this is due to how inputs for those attacks are handled by the title.

- This is the first guide I've ever writen as afar as I can remember, so sorry for any errors or whatever.
