Yeah this build obviously is tailored for an environment where 1) multiclassing and respecs are basically free and 2) level 12 is the max level, which isn't the case of 5e in general
Either thief: for the sneak attack and 2nd offhand etc. also you need very high sleight of hands in some places.
OR if dpr: Ranger Gloomstalker. This is undebateable the best ranged class in the game. The assault attack (dunno if this is the correct name but you get it) once each combat is a powerhouse. Also all sorts of charged arrows / bolts. No matter if going bow/crossbow/ double crossbow, this is the build. It still can serve as the party rogue, since high wis/dex for perception and trickery are a given thing. Also has some spellcasting for utiliy and control.
