As someone who's played a few hundred hours and almost never encountered the power this works great as is for experiencing content otherwise missed.

Do the powers themselves not innately have drawbacks from Vanilla Anomaly? Unnatural healing for instance already has a chance to exploding body parts into flesh tentacles.

Also, obligatory "If you thinks its op, don't use it"?

oh man i thought this was overall a book for psycasting sadge

this would be cool if it caused a headiff when u use it similar to "stoned on smokeleaf", to put an example, allowing to use the powers for the duration causing adictions and chances of random mental breaks, and now that i think about it this way the grimoires could be clasified as anomalys as the pawns dont get the powers but borrow them from the grimoire instead

maybe add a config option to enable drawbacks or so?

drawbacks would be thematically sick
