LORE: When the Chirpo government cut funding for MEMENTO Club's expedition, the Sandbee's sales dampened the economic blow, but the social tension kept growing into a serious political crisis. Chirpokind wasn't happy with just taking MEMENTO's income away; they also wanted that "scammer scum" out of their towns and out of those factories the Space Pirates left in their deserts. Under such pressure, their government couldn't keep their end of their deal with MEMENTO... Unless its terms were altered. What they had in mind was: popular opinion could change if MEMENTO joined the ranks of the Chirpo military with soldiers and new weapons. MEMENTO's lead hated the idea; the Club was not made of warriors, but of storytelling rascals united by comradery and drunkenness. Most of them were done with the errors of their warmongering ancestors. But not all of them. A loud, bloodthirsty few were excited about battling, which worsened the infighting within the Club. So, to avoid their own erosion, MEMENTO's lead gave in and sent their own infantry to the frontlines, wearing their brand new STUBB power armors. And that bloodthirsty few felt eerily comfortable inside those robotic bodies...
