Crab 22 Fishing Research Vessel

The Crab 22 is a pot fishing boat used for fisheries research. Onboard you will find 4 fishing reporting buoys. These buoy count fish and report their GPS location. The buoys report this information via radio with a range of approximately 20 km.

The crab 22 is a diesel electric craft with a 3 cylinder P.A.T I3 main generator. Propulsion is provided via a single electric screw. Maneuverability is aided by an electric bow thruster. The vessel is also equipped with 2 P.A.T I2 harbor generators.

The bridge is large and comfortable, with excellent viability fore and aft. The crew deck comfortably sleeps 3. The galley is equipped with: a fridge, microwave, dishwasher, sink, and plenty of storage. The dining area seats 6. The engineering level houses the head with shower.

The main working deck is spacious and holds an ample number of pots or research buoys. The crane easily hoists and recovers the equipment. The laboratory is located on the main working deck.
