Love the new defensive leagues, but I'm finding it impossible to play as Rome now; passed military service law, doubled down on defense and even won a battle, but when the Latin league or a Etruscan league declare war, it's just possible to survive. In Rise of the Republic, at least there you can fight the battles and win defensively to bulk up your army with buffs and then go on the offensive----funny, would never have imagined, but I think Rome needs a buff of some kind to just survive :D

I just did an update to add some defensive leagues buff samnium a bit and create a etrurian formable.
also etrurian and rhaetean are now non indo european culture group as they were historically

In 509 BC, the last Etruscan ruler who controlled Rome was expelled (after the desecration of a virgin), and Rome became a republic

Integration with invictus maby later. Also reguarding the government well. When rome turned republic it. Seemed that the etruscan states where a mixed bag of theocracys and republics which i represented in the mod by make about half theocratic monarchies. Also the latins are monarchies i believe. And the volcians where described has semi nomadic herdsmen (tribals)

Oh, as a side note, I very well could be wrong, but shouldn't most of the other Italian states be monarchies at this point rather than republics as well?

Makes sense and is without a doubt understandable. Is there a way to make this (along with the classical rework mod itself) function with the invictus mod then? Love the idea of these mods without a doubt, but imperator without invictus tends to just feel empty, unfortunatly.

Problem is the map increase tbh. I also edited the defines to make pops less loyal eg actual uprisings should happen.
Though invicus would good. I specifically picked the vanilla map version of classical rework because i wanted the scope of the mod to be limited as italian expansion in perticular is my focus so anything outside the original map is kinda irrelevant for what im trying to achieve.

It would also have the benefit of being able to work with invictus, with the main irritation being that it uses the terra indomita map.

This would Probably go well as a submod to that mod Antiquitas, which is more current I think that the classical rework mod.
