Description
A Roleplay map with 111+ properties in 4 huge regions: Coast, Forest, City and Underground. There are 7 main population centers: Outskirts, Village, City, Petrol Station, Island, Shore Junction, Tunnel District and many more smaller locations exist between.





This map requires no games or additional content.

Features:
  • Over 100 unique player bases
  • 7 main towns
  • Many isolated buildings found between towns
  • Hundreds of distinct paths, roads, alleys, etc.
  • Dilapidated buildings/houses
  • Several hobo camps
  • 11,000+ decorative props
  • 7,000+ other entities including props, lights, effects, particles, sound effects, fog volumes and more
  • A very detailed 3d skybox
  • 26 unique soundscapes
  • A spawn room with 6 teleport destinations
  • A map history/info room beneath spawn
  • A low-poly version of the map to render at distances for FPS optimization

History
This map began in March 2023 as just the forest area with randomly placed rocks and trees. The next 2 days, the basic city and coast areas were added in. The following weeks saw the slow addition of many buildings imported from rp_downtown_v4c. 1,000 additional hours of effort across the next 15 months allowed me to introduce countless more buildings and locations while packing in loads of detail into almost every corner.
Credits
Many enterable buildings on this map are based on structures from Half-Life 2 or very old Gmod maps (with some excpetions) despite extensive modifications, all of which include all lighting redone from the ground up. Click on the link above for the full credits, but here is a brief list:

Just wanted to pop in and say we're still working on setting your map up for the RP. When we finally dived into it and realized how much work we were in for we had to put things on hold.

Between trying to get all the houses furniture to suit the apocalyptic situation and make sure each area has a story beat and backtracking explanations?

It's literally ballooned into a small novel. Doesn't help that that part is *entirely* my job. Lol

hmmm Idono why gmod just got crashed when I load this map,

@Pinhead Larry i have 398 addons and i get 60-80fps in construct. i do fine on most maps but on yours i get like 20-30

@kelorine how many addons do you have enabled and how many FPS do you get on gm_construct?
