Anomaly Portal

Description

The Anomaly dlc has been out for a while now, and it's time to add more new entities to this crazy rimworld!
Metalstorm / Shard Portal mod contains 1 new entity, 1 new building, 2 backpacks, and research.

Please note that the next introduction will specify the characteristics of the entities, so if you wish to keep it a mystery, don't read on, they will surprise you.

Shard Portals will provide a new form of transportation that can teleport ranged creatures, items and even wall buildings to any location you wish (as long as you can provide the beacon). This means you can quickly deploy a max 11*11 defense position to any location they need, or bring entities down in a mission back to the colony instead of letting them disappear into the map.
The Metalstorm, on the other hand, is a siege entity that will arrive with its mates. With chaos skip, I'm sure it will bring a fun time to everyone.









Q: What if the terrain at the target location of the teleport doesn't support heavy construction?
A: portal transforms the terrain of the target location into Void Metal. So yes, you can use this trait to transform terrain.
Possibly a related punitive event will be added later, so please leave a comment telling me what you think about this.

Q: What happens if a building that teleports is partly in teleport range and partly out of range?
A: Such a building will not be teleported.

Q: I don't want to add an extra Metalstorm to the ending battle, it's too hard
A: Maybe a subsequent update will add a mod setting that can be turned off, but for now it's not there, that's it

We started out with a plan that there would be a beacon scanning apparatus that would search for mysterious beacons that could only be reached through portals, and the whole style was Grey Houses.

But none of our two-person squad was good at random mission crafting, which would ultimately lead to a mission that would just get the player to another boring space.

If we really wanted to make it more interesting, it would be a large mod, which is a deviation from the small expansion mod we envisioned at the beginning.

As for being too "safe", I would like to see portals used more, as they are a more marginal feature. If it can't be secured yet, then it will be used even less. It might be possible to make this feature through a mod setting, but our programmers might be a bit busy with school, so it should take more time.

I love the mod, cool execution!

Any chance we could allow to teleport into an empty gray wall/floor area similar to the warped obelisk?

Only thing i dont like is how "safe" it feels, you could make it so that there is a 10% chance that each teleport spawns a singular metalstorm (without allies) at the teleporter.

很好的mod 不过有个问题,虚空结构本身也会被折跃兽传送走并消失掉,另外这玩意被捕获了以后没有显示收容难度等信息,不知道是什么原因
个人觉得异象缺少一个boss级的大怪,本mod很好解决了这一点,但是频繁折跃建筑,甚至包括机械集群的炮塔是否有点过于烦人了,而且也容易造成一些bug,比如我上面提到的折跃虚空结构的问题,能否对这个折跃建筑的特性做一些约束,比如使其成为一个需要读条的范围型技能,给玩家留下打断或者规避技能的时间呢?个人建议,感谢作者的无私付出

yea i managed to kill it with tribals, apparently dirt attacks can instantly down it

The condition shoud be attuned the monolith.
But you do have a chance of encountering it early on, just as you are also able to encounter other high level entities before attuned the monolith, just with a low probability. It isn't invincible in its first year either, it doesn't actively put out fires on its body. It will be stunned by emp attacks, due to the fact that in early appearances it won't have many other enemies around it.

what's the condition for metalstorm event? i've had them come in the first year before i havent even discovered all basic entities or attuned the monolith
