Asteroid Base

An asteroid base created for the sole purpose of mining rare materials from the asteroids around it. The base comes equipped with refining services, and manufacturing facilities for easier production.
It also uses a state-of-the-art power generator and several other highly advanced technologies which bring this base above the rest.

**Note** I made this base before oxygen was a feature. Any mention of "air-locks" or oxygen related features are arbitrary, and oxygen does not work on this station. It is not air-tight.

**Note** This base is survival-ready with air-locks in place and ready to go. I included a single additional asteroid to mine from (aptly named "The Mine") which is in the far distance. I did not arm this station, so I would not recommend turning on meteor showers. I was thinking about creating some form of solar powered weapons platform, but I haven't gotten that far yet.

If you do happen to use this map fur survival, please note that the construction of this station took a lot of digging. I turned down the count of allowed floating objects to it's minimum. You'll want to turn that back up. I believe that around 250 is the default.

Airlocks include two small ship hangars, as well as a large ship docking port where you can dock your own ship. Currently, the airlocking mechanism for the large ship dock is one of my own design (a few merge blocks and a door), so if you'd like to modify it, feel free. The blocks are all there via mods.

Please also note that everything is inter-connected with conveyors.

The two small ships are both meant to be used back and forth between The Mine and the main Asteroid Base. The first featured small ship is a simple cargo skiff which ferries the minerals that were mined back and forth between The Mine and the Asteroid Base.
Attach a cargo container to the skiff with the merge block. Watch for the camera to light up on the tool bar. Line up the connector using the appropriate camera, and then unhook by turning off the merge block.

The second small ship is a personnel transport skiff, which is very small, and only really meant for basic transportation back and forth between the mine.
It must be fueled using the small cargo containers on its sides, which means you will have to bring ingots to it. I did it that way so that it would seem more like an old fashioned skiff. I dunno, you decide.

Feel free to replace either of these with your own designs.

Update 1:
Improved the model of the cargo skiff and added cargo container docking nodes to the mine and the main asteroid base.

Update 2:
There was an issue when loading the map where the landing gear on the cargo skiff would blow up.... so I replaced the landing gear and parked it hovering a bit.

Also, I closed off a few entrances into the mine to make it a bit more.... air-tight.
