Combat Drone Deployment Script

Description
ComeAndSee's Combat Drone Deployment System v0.4

Want to deploy fleets of drones from your aircraft carrier ship? This scripts for you!

This script automates the process of deploying and recalling combat drones based on enemy detection by an AI offensive block on your grid. It sends signals through the Action Relay system to deploy drones when enemies are detected and recalls them when no more enemies are detected.

How to setup:
* Setup video if you need help.
* You'll need an Action Relay, Antenna, Program Block, and AI Offensive Block on the grid that is deploying the drones.
* Optionally, you can add Timer Blocks (for opening hangar doors and stuff) and an LCD screen for debugging.
* Simply add the script to the Program Block and configure it by setting the names of the required blocks and channels for signal broadcasting. By default the script looks for the first AI Offensive block and Action Relay on the grid so if you only have one you don't need to change the names.

Special Notes:
* Ensure your main ship stays within AI offensive block detection range of enemies otherwise it can call your drones back early.
* Consider using mods to increase the range of your offensive AI block detection like Ai Range 5.5 km and 20km AI Range.
* For deployment, configure your drones to disconnect from connectors and enable AI blocks. For return, have them turn off AI blocks and return to base. I'd recommend using SAMv2 - Sam's Autopilot Manager version 2 for managing your returning drones.
* This script only handles signaling for deployment and return; you'll need to configure the drones themselves for these actions.
* Make sure your action relay has enough antenna range to reach your drones. Your drones need two action relays to process the attack and return broadcast signals.

Configuration:
Inside the script, you can set parameters such as the names of AI Offensive Block, action relay, LCD panel, and timer blocks, as well as channel numbers for signaling attack and return. By default the script looks for the first AI Offensive block and Action Relay on the grid so if you only have one you don't need to change the names.

Yeah I love this idea but the whole drone side is abit confusing and the SAM bit is alot to take in, maybe a little picture on the drone of whats needed maybe or the video would be great to :)

love to get a grip on this one

Think it's safe to say that we need a video on the drone setup. Farthest I've gotten is Flight block, offense and a relay block. I am stumped on how to proceed with the rest of the setup.

Hi guys sorry for late responses I've been taking a break from SE and was also on vacation.

@r4v1n6 Hi, timer blocks are optional.
@Rude Yes, it works on moving ships, and bases. You could have a remote base that deploys drones from another base through the action relay system.
@Krotos Yes, it's AI generated.

@whattodo795 It's AI generated picture of a drone. Just copy it?

Does it work on a moving ship ? I don't see it in the description ? Also i have a second question (which should be a stupid one). Does it work on a base ? (i would think so ?)
