Abyssal Magus [Job Mod]

Description
This mod is only in english, it was a side project by the two of us, we do not have plans as of current to add translations. We will bug fix it when we find the motivation to, or get back into playing baro!



Abyssal Magus
Dive into the dark depths of Barotrauma with the Abyssal Magus mod, bringing the arcane and blood magic to the underwater world. This mod introduces a brand new job, the Abyssal Magus, a powerful hemomancer who uses their own blood as a source of mana to cast devastating spells. Embrace the forbidden arts and master the control of your life force to dominate the abyss. May your enemies or allies tremble!

Features
New Job: Abyssal Magus
  • Unique Abilities: Use your life force to cast powerful spells that can turn the tide of battle.
  • Strategic Gameplay: Manage your health and spells carefully; overuse can be deadly.
  • Vitality: Use the life of your foes against them! Forget the feeling of pain.
  • Spell Tomes: Books containing the power of the ancients.

Items
A comprehensive list of items designed to support your pursuit of slaughter, become the beacon of death... For both allies and foes, human or monster, make sure no one mistakes your whims.

Items like the "Empty Book" are required to make the "Tomes", an empty book can be obtained from a Cultist Merchant. It cannot be crafted and cannot be found.

Spell Tomes
  • Rend: Unleash a powerful attack that damages enemies by tearing through their flesh.
  • Drain: Render your target be it friend or foe, an empty skin suit, void of any life.
  • Supplement: Pain hurts, so why not give your pain to others?
  • Restoration: Using tools to repair and fix things is boring! How about we just use a spell?
Genetic Materials
  • The Augmenter:
    A must have for any magus, allowing one to imbue their bodies with materials.

  • Steel Paste: With skin like steel, its no wonder you dont move.
  • Physicorium Implants: Nothings changed... But i feel more energetic!
  • Lithium Blood: Who needs portable chargers now? 5$ per person!
  • Alloy Bonding: Why use steel? its too slow! I feel like superman now!
  • Ballistic Skin: Body armour? I AM THE BODY ARMOUR!!
  • En%#!@$ .Err: Mutation$! g&^ c&!*ted *(#^--
Defense
  • Blood Shield: Who would have thought to use blood as a shield? Somehow their still alive!

Please Note!
Specific commands like "Revive" or "Heal" mustn't be used or it will break some items
If you do use either of these commands, ensure you die and respawn normally to fix


How to Play
  • Choose Your Path:
    Select the Abyssal Magus job when starting your game or customising your crew.

  • Experience:
    A Magus must be healthy. Gain experience to ensure you are ready for your path.

  • Death To All:
    Use your new found powers and rid yourself of any enemies that cloud your path!

  • Allies?:
    For some reason, another occultist thought it would be funny to make walking blood bags.


Installation
  • Subscribe: Subscribe to this mod and enable it in your mods folder
  • Load Order: AM is a stand alone mod, it can be put anywhere in the load order without issue!
  • Compatibility: The only known issue is Neurotrauma, but for the most part, it should still be fine.

All afflictions are outside of nerotrauma and are added by our mod, it doesnt override anything either. So, technically speaking yes, yes this mod is compatible with neurotrauma.
But i honestly dont know how compatible, we have played with those two mods together with no issue, soooo..... unlucky you if you get an error?

Abyssal wounds are healed over time, there are plans for an item to fix it faster, but thats going to be added when Life has motivation.


But just a notification for anyone else, this mod was simply a passion project, so it will only recieve attention when we feel like it, same goes for responding to questions, we may simply forget to check or may be oblivious, causing questions like the previous two to go unanswered for nearly 1 month (sorry).

The Effects were missing so I've Redone that talent, Synthetics was working, I Broke it in Last mod Update Have Fixed the Problem I Caused.

And the Oxygenlow immunity from Synthetics isn't working, maybe just reduce the affliction like the burns and bleeds, instead of trying to change the resistance
