UPDATE 5/24/2024: Mod now works for Greco-Roman Hegemony and 2nd Triumvirate

Greetings...

This mod makes the grand campaign of the awesome Para Bellum mod (Middle Republic: Greco Roman Hegemony, Late Republic: 2nd Triumvirate, and Roman Empire: Military Anarchy) more playable for the African factions. It expands units to minor factions who would have used them historically and removes units from those that didn't. Most changes are to units, but there are a few campaign changes too.

...Agent Changes...
Replaced African-Arabian Champions with Egyptian Champions for all dark-skinned African factions (Garamantia, Nasamones, Blemmyes, Kush/Meroe, and Axum)

Removed Egyptian Champion from Egypt/Ptolemies (the military elite were Greek)

Added Greek Champion to Egypt/Ptolemies for more historical accuracy.

...General Changes...
Removed European portraits from Kush.

...Effects Changes...
Modified Eastern temples effects to replace eastern culture bonus with state culture bonus. Whatever eastern bonus was originally there has been changed to 0, and the appropriate state culture bonus takes its place so that African/Arabian minor factions like Axum can now spread their culture. Eastern factions will still get their culture bonuses too, since their state culture is Eastern.

Modified Eastern city effects to replace eastern culture bonus with state culture bonus.

Added extra obedience to satrapies and client states.

Added +1 extra levies from satrapies and client states.

...Confederation Changes...
African/Arabian Confederation changed from Kingdom of Araba to Desert Hordes

Numidian Confederation is now Numidian Hordes

Eastern Confederation changed from Ariani Empire to Eastern Hordes

Steppe Confederation changed from Horde of the Steppe to Steppe Hordes

Latin (formerly Roman) factions can confederate as the Latin League

...Culture Changes...
Roman culture is now Latin culture

...Unit Changes...
Added all generic African units to Garamantia, Nasamones, Blemmyes, Kush/Meroe, and Axum in campaign and custom battle. Removed them from everyone else.

Added Leopard Warriors to Blemmyes and Axum in campaign and custom battle. No historical reason they should not have them, since they have a big lion hunting culture.

Added all generic Numidian units to Gaetuli, Mauri, and Masaesyli/Numidia in campaign and custom battle.

Removed Nubian units from Axum in campaign and custom battle for historical accuracy.

Removed all shotel infantry units from Kush/Meroe in campaign and custom units for historical accuracy.
Added all shotel infantry units to Axum in campaign and custom battle for historical accuracy.

Removed scythed chariots from Kush for historical accuracy.
Added scythed chariots to Garamantia and Nasamones.

Added numidian armored chariots to Gaetuli and Mauri in Campaign and Custom battle for historical accuracy.

Added slave infantry to Garamantia, Nasamones, Blemmyes, Meroe, and Axum.

Removed all Arab units from Numidian, African, and Aethiopian military factions for historical accuracy.

Added Apedemak Warrior to Kush/Meroe as a general for campaign and custom battle

*I'm about done with this mod. I plan on doing something similar for vanilla Rome and DEI.
**Feedback is appreciated.

Apologies in advance if the new update does not work with saved games.

Just throwing this out there...anyone know what enables agents in the Empire Divided (3c) factions? African-Arabian factions seem to only be able to recruit spies, but Eastern factions start with all three agents enabled.
