"Alexa, play 'Indian Summer'.."


The players play as a US AH-64D Squadron in a joint military exercise with the Chernarus Defense Forces in Chernarus. The mission has slots for 1 to 8 players plus one Zeus, and it contains flying, maintenance and combat.

The mission is designed for COOP, but can be played SP too. A known issue is that in SP, a player death can trigger one the scripts, progressing to the next day. Any other issues are because.. umm.. it's CDF's first time hosting such an exercise, so there might be hassle!

We use ACE in our modlist but I think the mission should work fine without it.

The voiceacting was created using ElevenLabs[elevenlabs.io] and VoiceChanger[voicechanger.io].

The Republic of Chernarus, a post-Soviet breakaway state, has enjoyed relative peace after the 1990s turmoil. However, during the last decade and a half, tensions in the South Zagoria region have been escalating amid Chernarus' gradual shift towards Western values, distancing itself from the Russian sphere of influence.

Throughout this period, Russia has publicly expressed concern about Chernarus' development. To guarantee "peace and friendship in the region for the prospectivity of the people of both countries", Russia demanded the demilitarization of South Zagoria's border zone. Chernarus complied in hopes of de-escalating the situation, resulting in the abandonment of the Tisy and Kamensk military bases. This also forced the 31st Border Squadron to relocate to Balota as the Krasnostav airstrip was converted into civilian use.

Following the Security Guarantees of 2024 and the state's recent candidacy status in the European Union, Chernarus has found a renewed sense of security. Recognizing that they are no longer alone, they have reestablished military presence along the border region.
Now, looking to upgrade both their military doctrines and equipment to Western standards in hopes of a future NATO membership, they are, for the first time, hosting a joint military exercise with Western forces.
