[TWS] Skylance Railgun Turret

Descriere
= [TWS] Skylance Railgun Turret =

Lore:

"Tesseract Weapon Systems" has produced multiple custom turrets in the past.
However, None of our ship based turrets were truly viable for the defense of ground installations.

The "[TWS] SkyLance" however, was purpose built to keep your bases safe, and shoot down any enemies
who dare to approach. Its Salvo functionality coupled with its great elevation and depression make it a formidable
weapon against air and ground targets alike.

Thanks to the new advancements in defensive AI, the SkyLance can target enemies at 2km range, and also
resets it's orientation automatically once all enemies are destroyed/fled.

Important Info

> This turret does NOT require any scripts for any of its functions.

> The automatic reset won't trigger when targeting a station.

> Due to the nature of event controllers and timers, the azimuth reset will always be off by 1-2°

> Should work without most of the DLCs, except warfare 2 (haven't tested it tho)

Weaponry
> 4x Railguns
> 2x Interior Turret

General Features

> Fires in a salvo instead of all at once
> Can automatically (or on demand) return to its resting position
> Can be manually controlled (unlike previous version)
> Automatic damage override (if the salvo chain breaks, all railguns turn on)
> Airtight interior
> Repair welder in turret head

I mean, you of course have to set up the turret controller and such. There's a short manual on one of the screens inside you'll need to follow.

Trying to put together a three-part structure now. It turned out to be extremely broken, most of the functionality does not work, and the turret itself does not move. Maybe I should make a “survival-ready” drawing or a set of drawings for a working structure?

Where the rotors/hinges connect.

So you have the base, the mid rotating section, and the head.

Three parts? I was thinking of doing roughly the same thing, but why three parts? Shouldn't the drawing be divided into the turret base and the gun itself? Also, it's not exactly clear where to split the structure

That's sadly normal.

You'll need to break it up in it's 3 subgrid parts, make a blueprint of each, and then assemble it using a ship to lift the parts into place.

Hi, there was a problem when building in survival. The drawing doesn't load the tower, only the base of the tower. Any ideas how to build it correctly?

most likely tied to the "share inertia tensor" try turning it off.

For some reason the azimuth rotor isn't able to move if I build this directly on my base. But if I connect it through a connector, it's fine. How fix?

Thank you, wasn't aware the group pages worked on the event controller as well. Knew it had to be something like that lol.

event controller 4 turns it off on page 4
