Fort Grey Beard was once a well funded military installation but after the occupation of Malden ended NATO abandoned it choosing to maintain a permanent presence at the airport instead. Over the years it's become rusted and dilapidated due to almost zero maintenance...

It's now used by the New Generation Freedom and Independence guerrillas to conduct partisan activities in the region against the remaining forces of CSAT and NATO.
