Description
The T 282 B is a heavy duty mining dump truck capable of transporting large amounts of minerals across long distances or just short runs. While designing the T 282 B efficiency was the main priority so you the buyer could get the most out of your purchase. while the original plans for the T 282 B were to include a diesel electric drive system that was altered later on due to mechanical issues with the electrical drive system being used. while the T 282 B is built to be efficient this is not a trade off for utility, it comes with a larger mineral capacity along with a stronger more dependable drive train as well as the newest best performing braking system.

Power train and Engine
The T 282 B comes equipped with a 3 cylinder 5x5 engine outputting 165,390 Pounds of torque from its fuller 8 speed heavy duty manual transmission. as far as efficiency goes this is about the best you can get between its high torque gearing and its fuel burn rate being at .02 Liters a second meaning this can run full power for 70 strait hours on a full tank of gas. for keeping the battery's topped up it is equipped with 2 medium generators which are more than enough to keep the 2 medium main battery's at full if running and will automatically turn off when the battery's high enough so you have minimal resistance on your engine when its not needed and just encase if you ever find yourself with low power a warning light will pop up on your dash and if you aren't started and you don't have enough to crank the engine turn on the Backup battery and turn it off again after your started it will re charge again once turned off.

Braking System
For Braking the T 282 B is equipped with air brakes split into to systems, Spring Brakes (parking brake) and your service brakes (Variable brakes). these systems are powered by air which is pumped through the systems using your engine power, to release the brakes air is needed to be pumped into the system and once it has reached a certain pressure they will release so if you have no air in your storage tanks you need to start the engine and let the compressors run and fill the tanks fill until they have enough air to supply the brakes. the T 282 B is equipped with two main tanks both centrally located between the wheels, 1 one the right and the other on the left both are equipped with a relief valve if pulled air will be purged from the system resulting in brakes bring locked on until the valve is closed and pressure can be built up again. One thing about air brakes is they lock up tight when activates so unless in emergency down gear to slow down it is as effective as braking and apply once moving at a slower speed to result in a smooth stop and to reduce the chance of cargo loss or injury.

Operation
Enter/exits
-To reach the engine bay for maintenance of other reasons navigate to just for of the front wheels either side and climb
the ladder.
-To ascend to to the above deck navigate to the front and climb one of the 2 ladders and walk or jump up the stairs.
-To open the cabin doors find the button and press it once to open and once to close.

Electrical panel
in the middle rear of the deck to the left of the cabin you will find a cabinet with 2 doors, the left door being your pneumatic info and engine info along with generator controls. in the right cabinet you will see 2 breakers the top being your main power, the bottom being your backup battery you will also see 2 dials one labelled main batt and backup batt these dials read your current battery level if your main sinks bellow .15 you will get a low power warning and are suggested to switch to backup giving your main time to re charge. your main battery will only die if you arent turned on if this happens just turn on backup to start up the engines then turn your backup off once your main has enough and starts to charge so your backup can charge for future uses.

Panel Dials
-Compressor Rps, this is the rps of your compressors which fill your tanks with air which is required to release brakes.
-Compressor ON, a light which if turned on means your compressor is spinning at a high enough rps to fill your tanks.
-Tank Air lvl, the current level of air in your storage tanks must be above 5000.
-Air Tank pressure, the current pressure of your storage tanks normally rest around 50 pounds.
-Spring Brake air, the current pressure in your parking brake system if brakes are activated it will read anything above 4
pounds.
-Service Brakes, the current pressure in your Service brakes (w/s)
-Engine temp, the current temperature of your engine.
-RPM, the current rotations per minute of your engine.
-Watts 1 and 2 are your generator outputs.

Start up
1) Enter seat
2)Press start key
3)go check electrical panel to make sure tank pressure and compressor are going up and are on
4)Lower left of your console press release parking brake wait for light to turn off. (the air brakes have lag so you have to wait for pressure build up to release)
5)Turn on any applicable warning lights all located left of dash.
6)Use up/down to climb gears

Bed Operation
To lower/ raise the truck bed look at the panel located in the center under the dash on the floor and use the button "raise/Lower" After it is set to raise you can press dump to release your load you can see your current fill level by looking at the dial labelled "bucket fill lvl" on the far left lower dash. after the load is dumped press the dump load again to turn it off then lower bed again.

the bed is equipped with 2 hard points when lowered so it doesnt swing around and cause phantom physics while driving.

Engine Room
-At the very front of the engine on both sides you will find a dial showing you the kilometers run on the engine
-the the right or left depending on what side you will see the air intake which have valves if threes a tsunami or
anything and you want to close the air system.
-right next to air coolers you can find a fuel shutoff valve same on both sides.
-located right above the fuel shutoff valve you can see a fluid anchor where you can re fill engine coolant which is just
freshwater if needed

Re-Fuel
Re fuel hatch can be found on the left storage tank in between the two left wheels you can find the button because it is slightly off colored once opened just connect a hose (one is supplied with truck right above re fuel nozzle) and the pumps are already ready for a quick fill up.

Hello! I want to ask you a question that may not be entirely on topic. Have you ever tried to create an electric car with a recuperation system?
