Odyssey

Mô tả

Prepare to embark on Odyssey - a four-point Payload map from the creator of Phoenix, Altitude, and Cascade set within the ancient ruins and neighboring marble quarry of a remote island in the Greek archipelago. BLU starts high on a hilltop archaeological site and must descend deep into the industrial quarry below to destroy RED’s enormous marble cutting machine.

Odyssey features a unique descending layout where the cart path never travels uphill. This flips the script of typical payload gameplay, providing attackers with abundant high ground, but requiring them to eventually sacrifice that advantage and push into the defending team’s equally powerful elevated positions in order to progress. The map concludes with BLU fighting for control of RED’s marble cutting machine, using its massive rotating saw blade to detonate their payload.

This is such a step-up from a map like Embargo, some points and chokes are annoying but this is overall a fine map in both of looks and gameplay.

This map is amazing and needs no changes when it comes to how it looks.

You guys don't know what the definition of an art style even is. You all think it works like how the nickelodeon and cartoon network social media accounts think it works. No, it doesn't. You all look at everything superficially. The thing being depicted, Greece, has NOTHING to do with art style. You can draw a huge meaty cock in tf2's art style and it would still be tf2's art style. I think you may be thinking of *theming*, not art style. Yes, this doesn't fit with tf2's "theme" of big deserts with nothing on them, but tf2 has moved on from that. Greece in tf2 wouldn't be brown desert themed just because the original few maps were that themed, art style does NOT equal theming or setting.

peam map for a peam mode set in a peam location, with an artistic direction that doesn't make my eyes bleed. i also love the unique "finale" with the saw that you need to lower to win the round
