Description
Character is from the turn-based fighting game Your Only Move Is HUSTLE, also known as YOMI Hustle. The sole creator of the game and character design is Ivy Sly. I am using the character for educational purposes to learn coding and design practices.

This is my attempt at re-creating the Ninja from YOMI Hustle using both art and a movelist as close as possible to the original as possible, without compromising fun, feel, and balance. This is my first mod, so please understand that the fun, feel, and balance might not be here just yet, but as this is an exercise in game design and not just a whim, I am here for the long haul with the goal of making a competitively balanced character that truly captures the Ninja from YOMI.

The Ninja is designed to be an all-rounder with a focus on mobility and a wide array of tools to confuse, overwhelm, and approach opponents. Their kit is relatively imbalanced in the sense that a few moves are fairly underwhelming or low reaching, while others have a high amount of utility and power built into them. Every move still has a solid use case and purpose behind it. The kit may feel unwieldy, but it's quite powerful.

It is my sincere goal to make the kit as a whole feel fun, fair, and balanced, but please bear with me and provide any feedback on what feels out of place. It is still a work in progress, and my first work at that. Thank you for reading.

dash atk - Fast slide, only strong at the start
d-tilt - Fast poke that opens opportunities
u-tilt - Upward-angled version of ftilt
f-tilt - Solid launcher with good range
jab 1, 2, 3 - Combo that can be cancelled into tilts from 1 and 2

bair - Well-rounded hit with decent range and recovery.
uair - Weak but quick upward chop
dair - Divekick that can be cancelled on hit. Risky spike at the start!
fair - Short range and slow-ish, but powerful heel spike sweet spot.
nair - Strong tool. Hold it down to gain height each hit.

u-special - Leap and strike, gaining action if it connects. Great combo tool.
d-special HOLD - Summon one of two clones, chosen by being in air or grounded. Can summon both at once!
d-special TAP - Substitute! Swap places with the most recently created summon or projectile
f-special - [[WIP]] Risky projectile-invuln approach with a spike at the tip
n-special - Throw a shuriken. Hold for different speed and angled in the air.

u-strong - Uppercut that reaches high, sweet spot at the start
d-strong - Stomp that covers both sides with low-profile shockwave
f-strong - Strong palm strike. Long recovery.

@mdiasdesign yeah I am really not an artist, and I wanted to get the character up to be playtested before I committed a lot of time and resources to artwork. I'm in the process of a difficult move so I haven't been able to test it as much as I'd like. Rest assured the artwork will be updated... eventually lol. I'm just a coder.
