Please do not install with my other mod, Environment Mood Balance. You will most likely get a duplicate error.

The mod is designed to address the overall mood bonus/penalties to a more realistic perspective based on their circumstances. The aim wasn't to increase or decrease difficulty but make it more realistic.

Durations and stacking of certain debuffs have been lowered.
(Death is more common in their environment and treated as such)

Romance rebuffs have been lowered to something that makes more sense.
(It isn't the end of the world if she tells you 'No')

Moods in regards to prisoners have been altered so that it is more in-line with the fact that they are prisoners.
(Their expectations for living quarters was too high. They are prisoners. )

Moods for Barracks have also been altered so that it is more tolerable for having troops bunk together.
(The worst kind of barracks shouldn't be that huge of a penalty, neither should the other levels.)

Things such as being insulted or slighted do not have as strong of an impact nor does it last as long.
(Because who really fumes for a whole month over being insulted/slighted?)

Losses of Lovers will not be nearly as impactful as losing a Fiance/Fiancee or other immediate family members.
(Immediate Family member losses have been slightly bumped)
Cousin losses was lowered cause really, was he really a part of the family anyways?

Eating Kibble was way worst than eating raw meat, lowered value for eating Kibble to be more reasonable.
(Probably still tastes worse than raw but there's worse things than dog food)

Weddings and Speeches have been changed. Bad speeches vary in how long the effects last but don't nearly have as big of an impact. Most positive speeches have longer durations with a slightly lower benefit except for 'Inspirational Speech'

Boosted effects of Cannibalism slightly
(They literally love eating humans.. don't feel like it was a significant enough boost for people that wanted to go that path.)

Increased benefits of performing concerts for the performer and attendees
(The person putting on the performance was getting about the same buff as the people watching in vanilla. )

Adjusted values for things that survivors of a space craft crash landing or tribal people should be able to tolerate more easily.
(I've eaten plenty without a table, shouldn't be nearly as big of a penalty along with sleeping on the ground. )



There is a long list of changes, maybe one day I will list them all.

My contributions to the 'Environment Mood Balance' have been added to this as well so think of it as just a more complex overhaul of the entire system.


Plans for adjusting traits and backstories in the future will be added to this mod.

Please let me know if there any balancing issues for the game as I can make updates and edits as needed.
