INSECTOID GENE PACK
This module of Biotech Expansion focuses on a set of highly specialized insectoid xenotypes, based on the vanilla insects we all know and love(?). Unlike most BTE xenotypes, these have a much stricter niche than normal. Universally reviling the light, the spliced insectoid xenotypes lock themselves deep into mountains and caves, feasting on insect jelly and relaxing in toxic pollution. These xenotypes are designed to be dangerous raiders as much as they are playable colonists, heavily favoring toxic weaponry with genetic abilities that are boosted so long as they have a healthy diet of insect jelly. Each xenotype has its own specific role in the hive!

Insect Jelly and Hunger
Many genetic abilities in BTE - Insectoid consume your pawn's nutrition as a resource for casting them. Make sure your jelly stockpiles are big enough for a big fight! Why exactly insect jelly? Because many abilities in Insectoid are buffed after eating insect jelly because of a single, foundational gene.

(Other) Functional Genes!

Factions

Ursprünglich geschrieben von Splice Hive:
These people are insectoid hybrids who have, for one reason or another, created a nest in this area.

Splice hives are almost always hostile to other factions due to their extreme lifestyle differences.
These always have Tunneler/Darkness Memes if Ideology is enabled.

Damn, now I need a patch for this and insector that allows insectors to take these as part of their evolutions

Amazing mod, it's my favorite Insectoid Xenotype, but could you tweak Exogelatin so that it's not recognized as a negative Hediff for Unnatural Healing and similar? Very annoying needing to wait until it wears off to cure scars or missing fingies.

Update : it's just on the VFE : Insectoid 2 bugs so it is a compatibility issue

Hello, I really like the mod but I seem to have a bug, when I tame an insectoid from VFE: Insectoid 2 my colonists really really want to kill it, is this a compatibility issue or just an common bug found on every bug ?

even more specific, overhead mountain specifically
Hedigo 19. Aug. um 15:18
... seems like it is JUST under cave roofing specifically.

I seem to be having an issue where food under my mountain ceiling cant be selected for conversion into jelly, but when i take it outside it works fine. Im not sure *why* this has suddenly started happening, and im not going to figure it out right *now* since i have over 400 mods, but its. Interesting to deal with. It doesnt show up in the logs, either, just says that whatever is underneath the roof is considered not edible.
