Description

The Beta Fish Payload Bombing Drone is an easy-to-use recoverable GPS-guided bomber for munition and utility relocation with reuse at low costs.

The Mk4 is coming out in the mid future. Btw this is just a test bed version. I had no plans of uploading this until requested. Plus it wouldn't make sense to skip the Mk3, so here you go.

The Beta Fish design is meant to be an easy solution to GPS-guided bombing. The Beta Fish gets its name from its aggressive means of attack but also because of its early and uncharted development within Stormworks. More versions and upgrades of this concept will come in the future such as on-the-spot reloading, custom datalink, more payload, and fundamental changes.

Features:
  • Cruise throttle
  • Muliple payload options
  • Customizable payload
  • Almost fully recoverable
  • Choice between detonation alt & distance
  • Customizable activation sequence
  • High operating range
  • In-flight shutdown payload
  • Test-bed w/ literally everything
  • Auto chaff (It sucks)
  • Customization up the wazoo

Instructions:

- Attach Bomber to a hardpoint.
- Place and connect EMP Data Collector Comp to the hardpoint with proper inputs and output.
- Equip Payload onto bomber.
- Insert data into the required missile inputs (Target Cords, Recovery Cords, Cruise Alt, Target Alt), or set the HECS substitutions within the master computer.
- Launch the bomber
- Recover the bomber

All documentation on the Mk3 can be found here [docs.google.com]

Warnings & Disclaimers:
Be careful! Most multiplayer servers prohibit the use of any type of EMP usage. Using this creation on any server may get you kicked or possibly banned. Talk to an admin or a moderator to find out the rules about EMPs and how to use them wisely in the game. This creation uses a keep active block, these will load the creation even if it's out of player loading/rending distance. This feature is intended for single-player use to keep their source vehicle loaded but may cause lag to servers. This creation uses a lot of physics objects (specifically with the cluster warhead payload). When using, please be weary of this creations effects on your or other player's performance with hardware & server limitations n'such.

As of 6/25/2024, the Beta Fish Mk4 is under slow and steady development. I have no eta yet on when it will release, but it will be out with higher quality and more extensive features than the Mk3. There is a chance that this project might be dropped though, as in the current day and age of Stormworks, this design and concept is becoming obsolete. The only outstanding usage left that the Beta Fish may hold is its ability of usefully using EMPs. If I do scrap the Beta Fish project, it will one day rise once again in a new form, and as something greater.

Heya whiskei. Unfortunately, if the target alt is not specified, then the payload will only detonate at sea level (altitude of 0). Fortunately though, there is a setting in the payload's micro-controller that allows for both or either of the detonation requirements to be locked at a predetermined set point

hey, would this still work if you throw this onto any EHCS compatible vehicle and only input the target coords?

I've dug through the documentation, and done all the required steps on the testbed, but it seems that the alt hold isnt working, as it always just crashes into the ground. I'm just gonna guess its an issue with stormworks, but thanks for the help. Very based creation.

The test bed has a toggle button (in front of the seat) to switch from my custom data link to the EHCS impute. The bomber requires target cords and a detonation altitude to work. I put most of the bomber's documentation in a published doc, but I'm how much use you'll get out of it: steam://openurl_external/https://steamproxy.net/linkfilter/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fdocs.google.com%2Fdocument%2Fd%2Fe%2F2PACX-1vQW--zuzgFMo8nXQVlEX0HbhRsQUtBJ2qszXt2xE_9wfWAYWPsF0s7vdfGVPeX0x-pkNO8RBhfpyKov%2Fpub

I can't seem to get it to work with EHCS. Even the one on the testbed seems to not function. Any help?
