Fantasy Up-Armoured: Reskin & Officers

Description
Read First!
This is considered the main mod page for my Fantasy Up-Armoured series, as the title suggests this is the full reskin, animation swaps, and officers version, meaning this mod will conflict with many mods that change stats and may be prone to breaking with updates. More compatible and alternate versions are offered further down in the description in the Compatibility section, so please check them out if you think those are better suited.

Fantasy Up-Armoured: Reskin & Officers
Hey y'all, this mod is meant for people like me who asked perfectly reasonable questions like “Why are Empire-men wearing clown outfits when they are facing literal daemons?” or “How do Kislevites stay warm in the winter when they don't even wear sleeves?”, or even “So you're telling me that the Dwarfs are master smiths but they fit their warriors with nothing but a chain mail shirt and a sweater?”. This game was my first exposure to the Warhammer Fantasy setting and I have had a lot of fun sinking my teeth into its world. However, I had a big issue with the visual design for some of the units, I immediately took note of the fact that there seemed to be a great disparity between the amount of armor and gear some race's had when compared to their adversaries, this issue bugged me a bit more when paired with the lack of essentials on the person of some models. I also did not like how the game was totally lacking in unit officers that should be expected when groups of upwards of a hundred troops are concerned. This isn't just a reskin but more of a visual Up-Armoring and Up-Disciplining upgrade pack, meaning this mod does not change the stats of any units but since I have altered animations and added officers it will not be compatible with gameplay overhauls (links to versions without such changes are further down in the description).

Objectives
When making this mod these are the missions I've had in mind and tried to accomplish.
1 - Up-Armor: Give any models lacking armor or clothing more armor, coverings, or new distinguishing features, considering a unit's tier and specialty. Also get rid of any overly-fanciful designs.
2 - Up-Discipline: Swap animations that give a unit more discipline or that seem more practical.
3 - Officers: Add unit officers to most melee infantry, with the caveat being that they are only included if the unit is an organized force with what could be considered a rigid command structure.
4 - More Army Cohesion: While providing as many subtle variants as possible, reduce the amount of over-differentiation between the model variants of the units. Along with this, reduce the amount of non-faction color colors in the army's clothing, armor, and shields.
5 - Missing Details: Ensure every model variant has as much armor that their variants have available, completing their sets. Also, ensure that any unit requiring features like quivers or specific equipment are present in their variants.
6 - Lore & Game (In)Accuracy: Due to the overall changes of this reskin, lore inaccuracy is inevitable, but when redesigning units, older tabletop models and lore may be used as references. Also, the look of some units may not match their specific gameplay values because generally most units look much more armored.
7 - More Variants: Change the base variants of vanilla lords and heroes for more differentiation and so that they can better fit certain army compositions.
8 - Male or Female: Reduce the amount of mixed units by making units exclusively male or female.
9 - Personal Preference: Everything in this mod is at the end of the day my own personal changes and what I want, some things don't have real reasons besides preference. However, you are welcome to suggest changes.

Compatibility
This mod will not be compatible with any mods that alter the variant definition or the data tables of any unit affected by my changes (A full list of what was changed can be found in the discussion tab). I do offer individual versions for some of the races in this mod (more may come as time goes on or if I get enough requests), a version that does not include Legendary Characters, a version that does not include all reskinned Heroes, Lords, and Legendary Characters, and a version that does not include any officers, animation changes, reskinned Heroes, Lords, and Legendary Characters.

I have no plans to make my mods compatible with any other reskins or gameplay overhauls simply because I do not play with them, however, anyone is allowed to make compatibility patches or mods as long as they credit me and my mod. As for modders wanting to use pieces of my mod, please just ask first, thanks!

Cheers!

This is a great mod but I do think obvious trash units like zombies could be a bit less armored.

UPDATED FOR 5.3

The main version of the mod should be working and the No Legendary Characters version, I'll fix and update the other two alternate versions of the mod soon. Let me know if there are any bugs!

@the master of lies: Hey my bad too, I got a little too heated with other things when I wrote that comment. Glad you found the fix for your setup, custom animation mods are always a high risk high reward deal when you use them, especially with other mods. But yeah it is best to test mods sometimes one by one for issues (or turn on/off ones that affect similar things).

Ok, i just checked.
I only loaded your mod with console mod, it worked.
then i did some further testing and discovered what the problem was.

its a mod that i had called: "custom battle animations" or something similar.
i have +30 mods on and assumed it was your mod,
this is because i avoid battle effecting mods except for AI tweaks.

so i would like to apologize,
i am sorry, i just assumed it was your mod and did no testing.

@the master of lies: Hey I just spent way too long to find out what I already suspected which is that my mod has no effect on the dwarf shieldwall animations. The animations only begin to play when the battle starts, thereafter the shieldwall takes effect when the unit is moving or bracing (to what I saw). If your shieldwall animations are still bugged it is not because of my mod, next time please run some tests yourself before reporting an issue like this, I've had to load in and out and in again to the game multiple times to check whether some issues are my problem or a sub's mod setup.

i really like this mod, thats why i want to see them in proper shieldwall formation.

its a meme channel, but thumbnail should be accurate.

btw, you can use the console mod and type: "techall" to unlock the tech,
you can also type: "add axp 9" or "add avp 9" to make them rank 9.

if you start as Thorek Ironbrow you can have some ironbreakers turn 1 to test with.
i do recomand to hover unit card before hand just to be 100% certain you have the tech that turn.
