Comfort Matters

Description
This mod makes comfort affect more than just the mood of the colonist.

It adds a multiplier to Global Work Speed based on the comfort stat of the chair or the comfort level of the pawn.

For example, if a chair has the comfort stat of 0.44 a multiplier of 144% is applied to Global Work Speed.

You can adjust the percentage of the comfort stat that is counted in the multiplier in the settings.
By default the setting is 100%.

Optionally, you can toggle the Comfort from need checkbox in the mod settings, this will make it so the comfort level of the pawns needs will decide how much of a multiplier Global Work Speed will get. The specific values are based on the thoughts a pawn can have about the level of their comfort:
- Uncomfortable 90% (10% slower)
- <no thought> 100% (normal)
- Comfortable 110%
- Very Comfortable 120%
- Extremely Comfortable 130%
- Luxuriantly Comfortable 150%

All above values can be changed in the settings.

Neat mod thank you!

I found out a little issue with RimHUD: it makes it crash if you select a baby, when you have the setting "comfort for need" enabled. Apparently it's because babies doesn't have a comfort need bar :'(
Might cause issues with other mods due to this I guess, I'm playing with "todlers" for example, same happens.

Great mod, albeit SLIGHTLY overpowered :p

Ive sat there and worked on chairs so bad that i told the boss
we need new ones.
But it ought to be balanced against other things ingame.
An excellent chair giving 3 times the bonus to workspeed
compared to a pair of bionic arms is a little off.

@LZIM: Thanks for the tip. I also use "Misc Building Changes" that increase tool box effectiveness. I imagine these two will stack spectacularly.

@Vulkandrache you have not worked in an office with people demanding ergonomic chairs then

@Pasaway when you do try it, there's advanced spacer chairs (from materials like Titanium) from VFE Spacer Module, highly recommended. I suppose for practical terms you could consider that the buffs are also based on the chairs being high tech and integrated into the consoles/workstations. Depending on the materials and buffs they are very useful without being game breaking cheats.

New update adds in the setting to change how much of the comfort stat to apply, it should work fine for either version but do tell me if it doesn't.

@Pasaway in general I'd agree but I don't see an easy value to tweak in the patch XML. Must be in the DLL then or am I missing anything? Also really like the idea of this mod but the bonus is too OP right now.

@Vulkandrache: It is pretty easy to look at the mod and edit the values to your liking. I never use chairs at workstations, but this might finally get me to do so.

Like the concept, setting would be cool if you ever have the time

Vulkandrache, you are free to not use the mod. I may add a setting to change the bonus you get at some point, currently can't be bothered.
