prop_coreball

Description
Somewhat working replica of the citadel core from HL2: Ep 1

Located in Entites > Fun + Games
Also, contains finx for the original prop_coreball entity. The fix can be enabled or disabled using the prop_coreball_fix cvar. By default, it is enabled.

Fun fact: The "Pondering My Orb" meme with the coreball was created entirely in Garry's Mod without any external tools,
except for the actual gif creation. They are a pain in the ass to deal with in Lua.

Oh, that's why it wasn't getting replaced. There's three other click sounds in another directory, which is what that addon was replacing.

No, this is the original Geiger counter sound from HL2.
The sound is called "tools/ifm/ifm_snap.wav"
And it is part of any HL2 installment, be it HL2 itself, the first or even the second episode.
It is also packaged with Garry's Mod.

Wait, does this addon include the geiger counter sounds? I have another addon that replaces them and when I'm near a coreball it plays the original sounds.

Don't those sounds come packaged with Garry's Mod like all the other non-Episodic Half-Life 2 content? Or does the core have its own unique sounds?

MrDarthVR, waht indeed :P
But he asked, and I thought it would be interesting for him to know how this killicon was made.

Oh, I have made it in 1080. Strange.

what.

Heh, it indeed looks similar.
But it is actually a screenshot of the core in orthographic projection without reflections and on a white background at a 512x512 resolution.
The value of a pixel was turned into the alpha value, but in reverse. And voodoo magic.

If you look closely, you'll see the same noise as on the core.

...Is the killfeed icon for this a Geometry Dash jump orb? If not it looks awfully similar.

It's probably a Dark Energy version of one.

it looks like a black hole (the singularity)
