Jarls of India Redux

Description
*This mod was originally developed by Riso. I have attempted to reach out to him for his permission to upload a Jarls of India Redux, but he has not been active since 2022. If he requests that this mod be taken down, I will honor his request.

The Norse have ventured far and wide, from Vinland to Constantinople. But by chance, they find themselves in a new land. A new land to pillage, to conquer... to rule.

Jarls of India Redux features everything that was included in Riso's final version of the original mod, plus a few new additions, including Indo-Norse and Dravidian-Norse portraits, making it compatible with other portrait mods.

Future additions will include two new bookmarks for the later start dates with unique Indo-Norse and Dravidian-Norse characters!

Special thanks to:
  • Riso and his original contributors, for Jarls of India!
  • ManicMayo, for his Indian portraits!
  • Þorkell/Erilaz, for his Real Gjermundbu and Coppergate Helmets!

I expected you'd go for a CK3 version but good luck with the mod  !

The Odhinist religion is part of the Eastern group, so it works similarly to Hinduism at the moment. I'm planning to expand it with new features in the future.

Looking forward to seeing updates, how does the religion work?

Sure thing!
In the screenshot, I'm using Lindbrook's texture map from HIP, which only changes the textures, plus the Arkopack CoA from HIP as well. I haven't tested it with SWMH yet, so I would highly recommend waiting until I give the go-ahead, or I could creae a separate HIP-compatible version.

Besides that, here's a list of mods that I know for certain are compatible with JoI:Redux.

1. More Navigable Rivers
2. Form New Dynasty, or any mod that allows you to form cadet dynasties
3. Any music mod
4. Less Random Deadly Duels
5. Anything that adds or alters government types (I have a small mod that expands monastic feudalism to Nestorians, Jains, etc.)

6. Any portrait/compilation mod
7. Anything that doesn't alter EU4 compatibility (I'll work on expanding compatibility to other mods)
8. Anything that adds nicknames
9. Anything that adds landed titles
10. Theoretically compatible with Unite India Option Expansion and Republics Can Form India (I haven't tested it yet)

Are you using HIP (minus SWMH) in your screenshots?
Care to share your playlist for mod compatability reference as well?:cozypaladinsbmbk:

The old version was incompatible with Norse portrait mods. I tested it myself, and every time I loaded a Norse portrait mod it broke the game. Plus, it is no longer supported.

This version is compatible with virtually all portrait mods, plus it will be receiving updates, such as two new bookmarks that I'm currently working on.

What is the difference between this and the previous version?
