Description

Lost Psycasts - Skyrunner is my love letter to Brandon Sanderson's The Stormlight Archives. It is my favorite fantasy series and has inspired me countless times. Skyrunners are the embodiment and culmination of two orders from the books, the Windrunners and Skybreakers, both take to the sky and fight for what they believe in. Skyrunners take more from Windrunners as Windrunners are in essence "Those who protect"

Unlike Lost Psycasts - Lightseekers, Skyrunners aren't incredibly overpowered, they are still incredibly strong, but don't have the destructive force of the Lightseekers.

Skyrunners are protectors. They use their speed, strength, agility and flight to fight for what they believe in. Or, they can use their abilities to get what they want.








Surge and Lash are optimally used together at the same time to get the ideal speed for a Skyrunner to rescue someone, move faster, etc.

Abilities will be adjusted over time if needed. There will also be a new ability I have ready, but it just needs art done.




- Skyrunner uniforms use Cloth
- Skyrunner Spears use Plasteel and Hyperweave.


- Yes this mod is supposed to be overpowered. No I won't balance it. I made this mod primarily for my experience.

- This mod is a WORK-IN-PROGRESS.

- Combat Extended? No idea. Never used it.

- If there are any bugs or oddities let me know in the comments.

- I will update the description of this mod better over time with better information, especially the Apparel and Weapons.

@toetruckthetrain Yes, I am currently messing with abilities and working on others.

Thing is Skyrunners in my headcanon are supposed to be those who protect. Skyrunners are the way they are because of their speed and agility. They are Knights who were created on a low-tech planet who rush into the field and fight with a spear while hovering around with enhanced speed and agility.

Division will be removed in the next update from the Skyrunners tree and will be added to the "Fallen Skyrunner" (name pending) psycast tree I am working on where abilities will be more destructive based but will keep a smaller portion of their Skyrunner speed/agility/flight.

Balance is not something I worry too much about, I like overpowered magical abilities. You could say maybe that's why these psycasts were... "Lost"

I'm still working on the mod and planning to add a bunch more fun things to mess around with so no worries.

i really love your mods as concepts, but i have two major issues, one thats probably actively being worked on, and another thats a lot more glaring, the former being simply, theres not enough of it, psycasting trees feel too small, but thats fine, my biggest problem is that these are ridiculously overpowered, some of these psycasts are more powerful than anything else in the game, while also costing significantly less neural heat and psyfocus, i hope thisll be fixed one day because these are super cool

Looking back at this Skyrunner Shield might be a bit too OP...

Next update will include:
- Skyrunner Military Jacket (Made specifically for the use with the Skyrunner Uniform)
- An Item that will be able to restore Psyfocus completely (If you read SA you'll know what it is)
- Continued balances to abilities

I do want to continue supporting Skyrunners, and in the future I might add some more psycast paths based off of The Stormlight Archive (I'm kinda tempted to add a Skybreakers inspired path, but I dont want it to be too too similar to Skyrunners), which will then come with a re-brand of this mod entirely into a collection of Psycast Paths/SA inspired apparel and weapons with a new name.

Fixed a few errors and unfinished descriptions.

- Added a new ability called "Skyrunner Shield" which is a incredibly strong version of VPE's Protector Psycaster Path Overshield Ability at the cost of Psychic entropy and Psychic energy.

On other Lost Psycast news I am working on a few different paths right now, but I think I am going to focus on like a precursor path to VPE's Warlord path. One where Psycasters can wield superhuman strength meant for fighting on the front-lines in larger situations, something akin to the Thrill that Dalinar felt.

Make yourself a local copy of this mod, edit the mod's About file (you can right click OPEN AS with Notepad). In the list of supported versions, add 1.4 version as well. Save file. Use that modified local copy of the mod in your mod list.
