Version: CoreSystems - 2.4(24)

Weapon Core is a complete rewrite of Space Engineers combat system. The way combat works in this system is very different from Vanilla and many conventions that you are familiar with will be different.

This "mod" by itself does not add new weapons to the game, it is the framework (engine) by which other weapon mod authors may create pretty much any kind of weapon they can imagine.

This mod will convert all of the default vanilla weapons to WC versions. In addition it will remove any incompatible third party weapon blocks from the world, unless you override this behavior in game.

Step 1: Follow these instructions to clear cache, use ModId: 3154371364:

Step 2: Create fresh world, adding only the WeaponCore (No Other Mods!)

Step 3: Create two simple grids, each with a station terminal, gatling turret and reactor. Make sure they are in range of each other and of enemy factions.

Incompatibility
The WC team and many other mod authors receive a constant stream of "bug reports" and confused users due to inherent incompatibilities between WeaponCore and mods based on Vanilla weapons.

If you have incompatible third party weapon blocks in your worlds, are willing to accept loss of functionality and instability you can enable UnsupportedMode by typing "/wc unsupportedmode" in the chat console or by editing the mods world config file.

There is a "ThirdParty whitelist" for known compatible mods, e.g: Beam Drill mod by Gwin.

having the mod installed causes comically high recoil when firing weapons such as the autocannon, is there any way to fix this?

my turrets keep aiming at nothing and shooting burst constantly, what am i missing? :x

standard first aid list (file paths may vary for servers or non windows users or servers) (s for needs to be done on server/host and client side):
- make a testworld just with the affected mod and one of the other mods as a mod conflict test, don't forget the mod requirements.
- (s) make a file integrety check for space engineers itself.
- (s) delete all modrelated data in the main and world specific storage folder and let it regenerate in case this got corruptet (findable under %appdata%\spaceengineers and %appdata%\spaceengineers\saves\yoursteamid64\yourworldname).
- (s) delete all modrelated data in the workshop folder and redownload it to neutralize eventually data corruption by modupdate (files are findable inside the workshop folder of the steam library folder in which you have installed space engineers).

while its hard to say what is going on there without the logs the "standard first aid list" usually helps sorting out the most common probs, will post that one in a seperate comment due to its size.

i can fire up a world with no probs with wc in it atm, so i would say that there is no general prob with wc.

Having trouble with Weaponcore. I just started a new game, loading my fav mods one by one, and anytime I put weaponcore on the list, when that game starts up to load, then suddenly unloads and crashes. Is a new update needed?

you will need an se external tool to bind keyboard and mousefunctionns to the controler buttons to use it with weaponcore.

Wife Likes to use a controller to play PC games, but for some reason she cant fire any of the guns when this mod is up. Like she can walk around and do everything else like building or shooing the handheld guns but as soon as she is in a vehicle she simply cant shoot the weapons or do the lock on.

Using the games built in controller support.
is controller use to use vehicle weapons and lockons just a no for this mod?

steams seams to have eaten the ping for you comment, so please excuse the late response.

there is no idle movement of turrets with wc due to wc not having idle movement avaible to reduce the performance impact and due to most wc based wepaons beeing based on sorters instead of weapons, though that is just to my uderstanding as a moduser and not as a modder.

my best guess would be to make a ct based on a pb-script (needs to be written with wc in mind) that has idle movement or make a request on the discord if atleast the searchlights could get idle movement, you should atleast get a explanation form a deeper point of understanding to why there is no idle movement.

if you already did check for file corruption on game and modside in addition to a modconflictcheck (which i would assume you did due to it happenig with just wc loaded) and it is still happening please provide logs and an exampelworld o nthe wc discord together with an explanation what happens.

All weapons try to shoot through the ground, even if weaponcore is the only mod active. they ignore terrain voxels on planets entirely. Any way this can be fixed?
