CNG Compact Steel Mill

+ Emissions reduced by CNG only 10t/year!
+ Slim & Compact design
+ Handy for maps with little or no coal deposits!
+ Simple and uncomplicated handling!
+ Specially adjusted smoke colour and intensity to fit CNG furnace!
+ Looks neat with wildbunny's little gasometer storage mod!

A compact steel mill heated with CNG instead of coal (in game it uses the resource oil). Produces half the annual emissions of a conventional coal-fired steelwork. Due to the higher energy density of CNG compared to coal, it takes 86.2 tons of CNG to replace 184 tons of coal. However, the factory still needs 3 tons of coal (carbon) per day for the production (hardening) of the steel.

Disclaimer: The CNG steel mill variant is 33 percent more expensive compared to Somad's coal-powered steel mill because It uses more advanced technology.Needs electrical compounds.

Maximum number of workers: 250
Maximum production per workday:

62t of Oil
.
Efficiency Coal for Heating: 45.5%
Efficiency CNG for Heating: 41%

Good point, with that in mind deleted my previous. With my intended setup I should not need additional storage.

Again thanks for sharing, like the oil idea.

It's not like you can connect to external storage's

It uses oil, iron and some coal so the already limited storage is split in three :)

Many thanks for adapting this one. I'll give it a try when I'm ready. It does produce hazardous waste, to be expected I assume due to needing oil. It's storage capacities are very low, considering what it can consume daily, iron and oil.
