Social Links are a key mechanic in the Persona series and represents the bonds you've formed with people throughout your journey. In Persona 3 Reload, there are 22 Social Links, with a few that rank up via story progression, but most following a point system (Social Link Points) for ranking up.



Here are all the ways you can earn Social Link Points to rank up your Social Links:

• Spend time with them (rank up events, phone invitations, film festival, etc.)
  
• Choose dialogue responses that make them happy (and gifting items)
  
• Draw a relationship fortune at Naganaki Shrine
  
• Meet them during your evening walks with Koromaru (non-S.E.E.S. only)
  
• Use a Dating Site Note at the Dorm's Shared PC (available starting November 11)

Note: Despite Dorm Hangout Events showing notes that imply Social Link Points are gained, they don't seem to actually provide any points (or very little, as some tests imply they give at most 2 points with max multipliers).

Social Link Points also do not carry over between rank ups, but any points earns during the rank up event are counted towards your next rank's progression. It's therefore important that you choose responses that net you the most points during these events to minimize the amount of time needed to meet the next rank up requirement.

On top of the stated S. Link Points value, there are also a number of ways to boost how many points you earn for the interaction. This is important to keep in mind as it can make the difference between needing to spend only one activity with a S. Link compared to two or more.

These are new, time-sensitive events that are made available during specific times in the story and are effectively Social Links in all but name. They're not exclusive to members of S.E.E.S. either, and watching them will reward with you stat boosts and special persona fusion recipes, so definitely prioritize completing them (They're technically called Linked Episodes because they're linked together, as in you have to watch them as they're made available to you in order to continue future episodes; but I prefer Link Episodes because of the term "Social Link," and because it's called Link Episodes in Japanese).

Link Episodes must be completed before their deadlines, otherwise you'll be locked out of viewing future episodes. In addition, characters will not always remind you about their Link Episodes being available via phone mails, so it's a good idea to pull up your map and look for exclamation mark icons to be certain they haven't unlocked yet.

Each episode's weekly availability somewhat follows a set schedule and will reappear at least a few times (with some exceptions), so plan ahead but don't fret if you're unable to view them for a period of time as long as you're not close to their deadlines.

Only some Social Links from school will invite you to hang out when it's not a school day, and they all require their S. Link to be at Rank 1/2 ~ Rank 9 (check their corresponding S. Link sections to see if they have an event for that rank).

Non-S.E.E.S. characters will send you an invite as long as you meet their Social Link requirements, but for members of S.E.E.S., you'll need to initiate a conversation with them at the dorm in order to go with them to the film festival. Do note that the S. Link Points listed below are also before multipliers are applied.

*Unlocks an evening walk event with Koromaru on the same day.

Only characters with Social Links that are not part of S.E.E.S. will earn 15 S. Link Points (before applying multipliers) when you meet them during Koromaru's Evening Walks. For walks with members S.E.E.S., Koromaru will instead bring you a random item from the list below.

*Evening walk events that require having gone to the Film Festival during the day.
**Star (Hayase) becomes Chariot (Kazushi) if Star S. Link is max rank.
***Star (Hayase) becomes Fortune (Keisuke) if Star S. Link is max rank.
