Deflector Shields represents a comprehensive reimagining of the timeless Energy Shields mod originally crafted by Cython and Shaostoul. With Shaostoul's gracious permission, we have embarked on a journey to elevate Energy Shields into a cutting-edge shield mod tailored for the modern era of Space Engineers. Deflector Shields are to be considered the Official remaster of Energy Shields, and an off shoot branch of development.

Deflector Shields dynamically adjust their Shield HP Pool and Regeneration rates in correlation with the available power on the grid to which they are affixed. Deploying multiple Deflector Shields concurrently yields no additional effect. Deflector Shields cease regeneration in the heat of battle, remaining dormant until a 15-second respite ensues following the last instance of direct damage sustained.

The Deflector Shields seamlessly transition through a spectrum of Blue, Orange, and Red, mirroring their dynamic strength in direct correlation with their current HP Pool. While recharging, Deflector Shields will harness 60% of the grid's available power for the replenishment process.

Enhance your in-flight experience by entering "/shield ShowOnHud add" directly into the cockpit chat. This command elegantly displays your ship's shield status on the Heads-Up Display (HUD). To seamlessly revert, just input "/shield ShowOnHud remove" to remove the display. Elevate your control and stay informed effortlessly.

You may tweak your personal settings by navigating to the AppData/Roaming/SpaceEngineers/Storage/DeflectorShields/ directory in your system. Inside this folder, you'll discover the DeflectorShields.cfg configuration file, which is automatically generated upon launching the mod for the first time.

Deflector Shields are meticulously crafted to seamlessly integrate with Space Engineers Multiplayer and Dedicated modes, ensuring optimal functionality. Rigorous testing has been conducted on these platforms to identify and address any potential bugs, guaranteeing a smooth and reliable performance. Deflector Shields function seamlessly in both standard gameplay and with Weaponcore.

Hello, can you add function were shields are added to all spawned npc ships in solar system. If player can have shield is wery overpower and what is point of use it when all npcs fighting with your ship dont have chance to win because you have shield. Stay save

was wondering if any plans were to be able to add these shields to NPC grids to make them more challenging? like a NPC version with lower power requirements?

Great, that'll look better then. I just tested it to see if the mod still had that issue from a while back. Not sure why but all my comments about it are deleted. Seems like the issue may be gone now though anyway.

Will the new models stop the shield blocks from sticking out so far when attached on certain sides? Its kinda hard to get them to attach and look right at times when I've tried them.

@silver.talon I agree. Been working on new models. Should be coming soonish. New models are 1x2 for both grids.

Hey guys, great mod btw. Hey I have a suggestion, might have been stated before. The large 3X3 is a little big with compact or streamlined ships that have a small engineering area. It would be handy to have a 1X1 for large grids, perhaps with a lower shield hp to power ratio. It's just a thought, I run Expanse type ships on a server and it would be handy.

@Rhodor Deflector Shields and Energy Shields are not compatible.

Can Deflector Shields and Energy Shields not be loaded in the same world? Because I have a grid that uses only Deflector Shields and one that uses Energy Shields, and the one with the latter functions properly while the former has no shields at all
