Imperator

Description
What Is "Imperator"

"Imperator" is a board game where you can gather with your friends, develop strategies, and tell lies. It is played with 8-10 players.

Within the game, there is a senate. Each player is a senator, and everyone has an affiliation to a side. The sides are divided into three: "Fidus," supporting the continuation of the imperial system; "Infidelis," opposing the system and the Empire; and "Cogitans," desiring a change in the system and the restoration of peace.

The goal of each side is to place as many cards as possible on the "Lapis Legis," the law board that represents their side. After the last card is placed on the board, the cards on the board are counted. The side with the most cards wins the game.

How To Play?

At the beginning of the game, Senator cards are shuffled, and each player draws a card. After the roles are determined, voting cards are distributed. Once the card processes are completed, the game starts by rolling the dice.

According to the roll, an Emperor is chosen. Then, the Emperor selects 2 allies for themselves and has each of them draw 2 cards from the "Suggestion Deck." Each ally places one of their cards in the "Suggestion Discard" and places the other card in front of the Emperor face down. The Emperor shuffles and examines the 2 cards in front of them. The Emperor places one card in the "Suggestion Discard" and puts the other card on the board.

After this process is repeated once more, the Emperor passes their role to another Senator (Players who were allies and Emperor in the previous round cannot be Emperor candidates). The selection of the new Emperor is put to a vote. If more than 50% vote Yes!, the Emperor is chosen, and the process continues. If the Emperor cannot be chosen, a new Emperor is selected by rolling the dice.
