Description
USEED THIS ONLY IN CUSTOM BATTLE. FOR CAMPAIGN, a manual procedure is neccessary.

Hi, this is my first mod.
I want to say that this has not the intend of steal from the immense work done by DEI. So it ha to be considered an unofficial sub-mod for DEI, with all the respect for the original one.

MOD PHILOSOPY: i want to fight, but ì have to wait 20 men to die before my turn comes. This is how i immagine a battle in antiquity. apart from single group, i mmagine many lines of soldiers, where only the first fight. unfortunatly, total war doesn't account the concept of reserve. Even if the battle IA deploy his army (rarely) in 2 lines, this dissolve during the combat. So the increase rank it's can be interpreted as two lines of soldiers, very close each other.

LOAD BEFORE DEI, if not the tables are rewritten with the originals and the mod doesn't work.

THIS MOD DO:
-double the unit size
-double the unit rank depth

POSITIVE:

Now even a 20 vs 20 battle became big. if you've always wanted a battle where the AI uses a backup line, you'll have realized that this is litteraly ipmossible. this configuration partly satisfies this desire witha deep line of soldiers.

NEGATIVE:

1) sincenow, i edited only 'main uniìts ytable' and 'land unit' tables, so the starting army ina campaing is not affected by this mod. To fix it, you have to do it by yourself using a simple app created by ht ecomunity, Saveparser:


2) Playing a campaing expose you to 40 vs 40 units battle. this can became very CPU intensive ( i have an i7-13700K and it has no problem). A x3 mod will cause lag independently on your CPU, so i think that is a limit for the game.

FUTURE PLANS
- make the same for PARABELLUM, Vanilla and other pop mods
- make a system of mod in wich you select what you want, ex. if you are intrested only in x2 units and not in x2 rank.
- make a Spacing mod
- make a mod that eliminate the possiibility of any unit apart cavalry to run ( i play each battle with this system and i have to sayu that i am very happy of what i see.IA can't make running his soldier like Bolt)

PROBLEM RESOLUTION
If you have any problem or request for a mod,let me know in the commment. please, don't be arrogant, since who made mods spends his free time to share something.

IF:
* cavalry bugged: two man in one horses. This is caused by other mods that edit the tables in wich also the horses number appears. So, basically, this problem is due to incompatibility with certain mod. So load before (classical rule).


CAMPAIGN DOESN'T WORK, WHAT YOU HAVE TO DO IS:
iNSTALL sAVE PARSER and learn (it's simple) how to used it. Dowload link:

Many tuttorial exist on how to use. Briefly, you have to start a campaing, save it, open the saved game with the cited app and you can manually apply the multiplication to all the unit. so this is the only way to play th ecampaing in this way. i personally suggest to increase rather the army size to 40 unit and to use a mod that reduce the recruitment and maintenance of the troops.

Yeah, pathing is screwed up even normally. It's weird that this was never fixed, along with a slew of other issues.

@Sacred Enjoyer unfortunately for double efficiently the size in the campaign, the thinks became more complex to be made. The only way to do this is to use an application called Save pearser. You have only to type on YouTube how to double the unit size and find a video or tutorial explaining this. It's easy trust me.
For experience, a campaign became quite bugged with a X2 size. The siege are completely broken 80% of the times because unit are not able to find a correct disposition to pass the doors, occupy the wall and so and so. I try a good substitution to that: 40 stack unit allowed with a half cost of unit. So you have doubled the man's, but gre units are flexibles in sieges and AI action.

@Haelstrum556, i write what to do for the campaign in the description. I play all my campaigns using Savepearser, m mainly to increase the army size. sorry but this can't be done by a mod in the workshop, because it is neccesssary a saved game.:steamsad:

the units you start with in campaign is not affected by the mod

@Kilo11 Ok i tested something that can cause the problem. example, if you use an overhaul graphical mod, the horses are the same but the man remain doubled. So load order is crucial
