Description
Concept Info

The Havoc is an explosive-themed concept. Based on realism, I tried my best to accurately display an array of materials. Like the ducktape wrapping around a stick of old dynamite oxidized by the sun. The plastic handle and additional red accents, small markings both of the Bizon’s specs and comical engravings. I sprinkled around horizontal attributes to give a sense of warning throughout. For the main illustration, I wanted to capture the motion of an explosion especially while holding it in the default view. Additionally incorporating shrapnel to areas on the metal as if it was blasted by sand.

Creation Process Waffling

Lots of names were on my mind while making this skin. I would have gone with Demolition but its already being used by a Dual Beretta skin. I liked Havoc best but some others were “Chaos Surge” “Detonator” “Frenzy” and a classic “Ka-Boom”.

I learned a lot along the way with this concept, I found myself constantly reworking areas. Whether it was the normals, how blurred they were or having the roughness dialled in to give enough contrast but also not too extreme. I don't know why but I love making grips the most for skins, I must have changed it around like 10 times but I'm happy with the final look. Lmk if I should have a second version without the shrapnel on the metal. I did test it without but thought it was too smooth and clean since its more of a grungy-style skin.

Thanks for reading
