Kriger 858K Recovery Truck w/ Lowboy

One of the best engineer at Kriger doesn't like the TS2400 Dragline excavator and I was puzzled by that so I went to their office and inquired why; it's too slow! the engineer said.

I'm not surprised. It is slow but a dragline excavator this size can't go fast. What we can do though is load it on something that can go fast!

This is how Kriger came up with the brand new 858K Recovery Vehicle. At first, the team worked very hard on the lifting gooseneck arm to be able to pickup the excavator and pull it directly. You can even find a switch to disengage the drivetrain of the TS2400 underneath the carriage. Unfortunately, when it came time to lift such a heavy excavator the load wasn't properly balanced and because of that the team went back to the drawing board until they came out with a solution; instead of picking up the excavator we'll pickup a lowboy and that excavator will be sitting on it and that's what they did!

If you too find your TS2400 too slow to get to the minerals, you can drive it onto the lowboy of the 858K and get there much quicker!

Operation:
climb aboard the truck and turn on the key then wait for the air tank to fill. Get out of the cab and go to the back of the truck while remaining onto it then grab a cable and a hose and connect them to the lowboy trailer. After that, on the port side of the truck you will find a lever to hydraulically raise the lowboy. Go back in the truck, release the parking brake for both the truck and the trailer then put it into gear and drive off.
