The fleets are further broken down into squadrons that range between 5 and 10 large craft.
It is important to note that a squadron composition is heavily dependent upon the function it will be tasked with. Simple patrols may be made up almost or entirely of Frigates and/or maybe a Destroyer, or one may be made up only of Destroyers for the purpose of dedicated strike and hunting maneuvers. Etc.
The AUC has, at thus point, had a few centuries of near constant fighting with hostile forces, including an outright invasion from. Sol to learn and develop tactics, advance technology, and employ to great effect, certain
experimental practices that has led to the AUC of today.
