We got him, Mav. He's bugging out and going home.

Sumplified summary of changes:
- Reduce the "detection cone" of the target-locking mechanic, so you can't immediately spot someone just by holding down Alt and looking around wildly tapping right-click.
- You now need to actually point at your target and keep it within your crosshair area to lock it.
- Ship & Player Target Lock ange has been increased to compensate.
- Higher range = longer lock times.
- AI Block Target Distance Nerf

This is intended to pair together with the accompanying Combat Rebalance mod I made, as it increases the weapon ranges, and the Target Lock system can account for bullet drop.

Turn rate doesn't prevent you from looking around by by free-look by just holding down ALT and moving the mouse around.

This is why the cone is so small - it makes sweeping left and right with free-look to easily find targets around you a lot harder.

Do you think this could be made for small grid ships only as large grid ships would have a hard time having to turn in battle to lock on?
