Overcoats? Postal Dude's overcoat is cool, but is a full outfit, you cannot mix and match. Stormrider's overcoat is enormous, and still clips with many things. Gambit's outfit is structurally problematic to fit any pants on, plus the undershirt has colouring issues. Nick Fury's Outfit has to be used more or less as is. Loki's coat is excellent if you want to make a cyberpunk outfit, but again, its interchangeability is limited.
Same story with oh so many male outfits. They either have some bit which is annoying, or they are impossible to mix and match. While female soldiers have a great variety not only of outfits, but also of bits of outfits, pants, shoes, undershirts, overcoats, scarves, additional decorative elements, which very frequently also fit together very very well.
Hence this commission focusing on male clothing.

Take leather jackets, for example. There are three, generally speaking: Francis' outfit (by Asthye), which is, however, a vest, not a coat, and good luck finding more than one or two trouser options or arms options for it; the Leon Kennedy Outfit (again by Asthye) which was the only bomber jacket for males until now; and the three versions from the Saito pack, which all have that electronic contraption on them, so cannot be used as normal or base clothing. There is also an excellent leather vest (again, no sleeves) in the Spider-Man Noir pack, but it does not fit vanilla heads, the neck and upper back clip through in a really abominable way.
A lot of the 'normal' clothing options have issues: Central's sweater has the xcom logo on it, and the Andromeda Casual Jacket also has an annoying logo on the undershirt (the female version is, as always, excellent, and has the logo hidden).

I did not commission girls' version because there are plenty clothing options for female soldiers, including bomber jackets and leather jackets. (See Kexx's female clothing mod), so many in fact that you can easily reconstruct a female aviator look, including the side cap (две или три пилотки в разных паках). I have made a beautiful steampunk/ dieselpunk configuration for one of my female warriors with the existing stuff, one of my best outfits, actually, with zero clipping too.
By contrast, male clothing options are limited to either modern military gear of all kinds (many, but with limited variety), or the occasional 'weird' clothing configuration which is frequently difficult to mix and match. Males have no base pants options or tops, no separate shoes or boots, very little variety in base 'normal' clothing. And they have very few really 'cool' options.
