Description
This add-on adds a survival horror styled HUD alongside an infection system that turns you into a zombie when your infection meter reaches the maximum threshold.

Check my second optional addon that adds an inventory layer:

If you want to play with the infection system, there are two addons that are absolutely required:

(If you only want the HUD and don't play with the infection system, then you are fine without without those two.)

The health is displayed in a "Resident Evil-esque" manner, only indicating a vague health condition. There are various conditions to describe your health.

NOTE: The poison status effect are inflicted by some specific NPCs from Lethal Necrotics Reanimated: Specials and Resident Evil: Cold Blood

The condition panel can be customized to display bars you wish to see. Players can individually choose what they want or server can force players to use a specific display.

Ammo in magazine display show individual bullets and each bullet spent are animated in procedural way.

The infection system works with two meters: the actual infection level (visible on HUD), and an infection stack level (invisible)

The infection level is quite simple: it grows over-time and if it reaches 100%, the player dies and turn into zombie. The zombification is managed by Lethal Necrotics Reanimated.

The infection stack level is not visible to players and controls how fast the infection level grows over time.

It only grows when the player get hits by zombies. (even worse when it is a bite!)

The higher the infection stack level is, the faster makes the infection level to grow.
And if the infection stack level reach 100%, the infection level will grows in an uncontrollable rate. (the condition display changes to Infected when this happen)

The infection system can be fine-tuned to adjust the difficulty. You can make it progress fast or slow and make infection growing with more or less zombie hits.

Zombification:
  • Enable player-controlled zombie upon turning (experimental feature, may cause problems)
Player will take control of the zombie upon turning
Uses VJ NPC controller from VJ Base

  • Zombify on death threshold
The infection percentage required for player turning to zombie when the player is killed by any other means.

Infection rate:
  • Cycle time
Time in seconds before the infection precentage increments. (and reduced by the infection stack percentage)

  • Growth per cycle
Amount of infection increment per cycle.

Multipliers:
  • Infection multiplier
Multiply the infection received on hit for both the infection level and infection stack.

  • Armor reduction
Divide the infection received on hit when player has armor for both the infection level and infection stack.

The HUD also features an immersive mode.

When this mode is enabled, the HUD will remains hidden and will reveal in a minimalistic display when the condition or ammo changes (kinda like Resident Evil 2 and 3 remakes)

If HEMA Inventory is mounted, opening the inventory will display the full HUD.

The add-ons listed below are officially supported with extra features.

Alright, so I installed it, uninstalled Re2 hud, but I kept RE2 inventory mod so I have that and the merchant from RE4 which is included in that RE2 inventory mod by Cuta. Wish me luck in this combination for future realism gameplay films.

Hopefully bug wise this works out perfectly. Immersive mode really does save me a lot of headache for realism film creation plus the animated ammo counter looks really cool. Very survival horror.

I already love my RE2 hud and Re2 inventory mods... but I might have to give this "immersive mode" a try in the future.

Could you make a Resident Evil 2/3 Remake HUD too eventually?

wait, how are you suppost to see your health if you disable that in the hud? I understand theres the status thing, but what if you get infected? would it remove your ablilty to see your health?

You're using more than one HUD interface? My best advice for whatever the case is toggling 'Immersive HUD Mode' as demonstrated on the workshop page description.

Often weapons pictures in the HUD block my ammo so I can't see my ammo, could you make it so that the weapon picture isn't displayed above ammo?
