Wait what? A CETME mod is this legit?!?
Yes this is legit and some others have been waiting for it to on their hands.... Virtually. I myself have been excited to have this gun working despite it the most difficult gun I've worked on. And I am legit glad that it works in the end. Me and the others in the Workhorse Barracks especially Corporal have been really excited to present this gun with an interesting background and history to it.

History:
Chapter 1: Germany, Year Zero
CETME Rifle's development and concept can be traced back to the Second World War, where the German armament had created prototypes of the meant to rifle the STG-45. The STG-45 had an action that is ahead of it's time with that the gun functions with the roller delayed blowback (Patent by Mauser’s Wilhelm Stähle and Ludwig Vorgrimler) the gun itself eliminated the use of gas blowback system. Many of prototypes were captured and were studied.

Chapter 2: After The End
After the STG-45 was captured and studied, the French had interest on creating a new automatic rifle for their armed forces. Had the German technicians involved in the project to continue their work in France. With the Germans involved created the CEAM Modèle 1950.
The CEAM Modèle 1950 was a rifle chambered both in 30. Carbine and the German 7.92×33mm Kurz rounds. When the Indochina conflict started and growing concern that this type of rifle being in mass production and affect the economy, the development was cancelled. The desingers of the CEAM rifle left for Spain Theodor Löffler and Ludwig Vorgrimler.

Chapter 3: The Last Fascist
While France was at war during the First Indochina War, Ludwig Vorgrimler started to work at the Spanish Centro de Estudios Técnicos de Materiales Especiales or CETME. When designing the CETME, the CETME has STG-45's. The result of creating a new rifle for the Spanish in an Atomic Age created prototypes such as the CETME LV-50 and the CETME A.

CETME A was interesting for being closed bolt on semi auto firing then open bolt when automatic firing and the Model A is chambered in 7.92x41mm CETME.

CETME B was the first mass produced model. While being mass produced, it met the NATO standard of being chambered 7.62×51mm CETME which is NATO round just with plastic core. Through it's service, the Spanish reworked on rifle by making it functional with the 7.62×51mm NATO. This model became less common as the new improved version was put into service in 1974.

CETME C is the more common CETME model, it is light weight despite having wooden stock and handguard and now created for to be used with the 7.62×51mm NATO without reworks.

Chapter 4: In The Hands Of Those Who Defends Freedom and Unity.
In 1956, the West German Government formed the Bundeswehr. The Bundeswehr started with small arms from Western European nations but majority of it is of US origin such as the M1 Garand, Thompson. Along with some from Italy, UK , Belgium and the Dominion Of Canada.

While the Bundeswehr relies on the US made small arms, the Bundeswehr ordered FN FAL "Canada Model". The West German Bundeswehr had designated FAL that they received as the G1 or Geweher 1, the rifle was modified with a more lighter handguard and integrated bipod that akin of Austria's STG-58.

West Germans, being satisfied with the FAL. Was looking forward on producing the FAL under license. But FN Herstal, the company the produces and grant licenses of the FAL, refused to give the West Germans the license to produce the FAL due to Belgium since Belgium was occupied by Germany twice and the fear German rearmament might bring the West German's back in a state that was in 1939.

West Germany wanting to have it's armed forces to have the most up to dated arsenal, took interest in Spain development of the CETME rifle. German's ordered CETME and tested it against the rifles that are in line to be the Bundeswehr's new rifle such as the AR-10 (Designated G4) and the SIG SG 510 (Designated G2). The result was the CETME was more favored.

Thus the birth of the arms that fought for Freedom and Unity.

Chapter 5: Wings Of The Eagle Spreads
The CETME and G3 remained to be the most successful rifle as of today the year 2023. It can be still seen today in 3rd World Nations and 1st World Nations alike. It is known for it's high recoil yet long range since it being a battle rifle. Today it is iconic as it's also has it's presence in media such in films and video games.

Hate to be nitpicky but this is not a Cetme, it's just a reskinned G3 with wood furniture. The Cetme C had a completely different set of furniture , magazine, completely different rear sight, and fire control group.

The soldiers in the fifth and sixth pictures look like alternate history soldiers, are you ever going top get back to making alternate history mods like TNO?

Please have a look at the 40RND magazin of "General Mobilization". It is a beautiful 20 + 20 RND magazines combined. So a compat should do the magic I guess. Originally Iwanted to use it also with the G3 Niarms mod (still would love to have a compat GM-Niarms) but there is no compat. Since you like the guns as much as I do, I see a new glimpse of hope. <3
