Description
Greetings, stranger.

More than a year after Celestial Spark's first submission the time is ripe for a new version. If you are new to the Celestial Spark - welcome! If you are familiar with the first version of this item - welcome back. This item features a complex overhaul for Wisp's particle effects, changing the appearance of every single one of his abilities while maintaining his distinctive style.

To get an impression of this item in action I strongly recommend to watch the video above. For a closer look at a specific effect click one of the banners below.

Centered around the theme of an embodiment of the night sky Wisp's body now mirrors the slow movement of the galaxy - and if you watch closely you might even find a meteor on its path between the stars. Three spirits orbit the main body, rotating around Io while he moves.

A spiraling helix orbits the central tether line while tiny sparks gather at Wisp's core and emit at the targeted unit, emphasizing the transfer of energy. The temporary bond between Wisp and its ally is further accentuated by a set of three spirits circling the connected target, equivalent to Wisp's main body.

Wisp's spirits resemble falling stars, literally falling from the sky before being caught in Wisp's field of gravity. A semi-transparent placeholder marks the position of the spirit during the descent to avoid gameplay impact. Upon collision the spirits emit a small nova before returning to the sky - each of them on a unique path.

Following the celestial theme of this item Wisp's overcharge now mimicks the sun, flaring brightly upon activation.

While channeling the ability particles will emit from Wisp's core while a small beam will start to connect Wisp with the sky. At the destination point a beacon will form, collapsing as Wisp teleports. After the teleport a second beacon is created at his origin point, slowly pulsing until the Relocate effect expires.

Update 12. September 2014: Added an additional effect to highlight the direction Io is facing, avoiding potential gameplay impact on effects like Force Staff, Backstab or Stone Gaze. Nice catch, guys!
