Introducing Day Number 24, the ’Festive Colony’

WARNING 1: This world can be performance intensive for lower end PCs, please use low graphics if that is the case.

WARNING 2: Some of the builds in this world are unfinished due to either time constraints or performance reasons.

- Lore -

“Nobody knows how exactly we got here. Some talked of holes in the sky, others of bright flashes... many of our stories sounded similar... almost too similar. All we knew for certain was that wherever we had arrived seemed to be some sort of end point in the universe: this solar system orbited a sun, we had day and night, but everything outside our system seemed still...

Many had arrived before us, and many more kept arriving every day. A safe haven seemed to have formed in a small valley on a planet like earth; and it was sending a signal calling all in for safe harbour and survival in peace. No one knew who exactly first colonist was, nor when this started... if it did even start. But oddly enough, when we arrived, the locals seemed to be celebrating Christmas time? a quick check from my datapad revealed this to be correct, for our world, and apparently everyone elses.

Well then, despite the end of the world as we knew it, who were we mere travellers to stifle the Christmas cheer? We can worry about that later, and for now we could celebrate and rejoice at a new years approach... if we even still have years here...


- Description -

This world was provided via an event ran over the course of a month. Creators were given options between plots in various areas of the valley (Lakeside, Industrial, Flats, Mountainside etc), and asked to create a themed build that would result in a full colony.

The world features over 50 different builds from 42 different builders and workshop creators, as well as dozens of vehicles, props, lore entries, Easter eggs and secret locations. Despite the calendar historically being no DLC, we've decided to lift this in order to maximise creativity (and minimise laggy subgrid substitutes) - despite this the world is just as functional to non DLC owners as it is to DLC owners; so you can enjoy no matter what extra content you own.

Its honestly astonishing to me that this many creators were able to get on for the world, especially such talented creators and builders. Most of said vehicles will b on the workshop already, and some may b incomplete in which authors may publish soon-ish

thanks for your answer [Omega] . I then tried it myself and, after having created an empty world, I copied all the content from one world to the other using TOOLBOX. IT WORKS ! but all wheels and connections like rotors, pistons, hinges were lost.so my job next will be to replace all the vehicles with the blueprints I copied from the original world.I will also have to replace (with the original blueprints) the Expo Hall and Pier that lost their moving parts, I hope I can do it. The characters weren't transferred either. I can add new characters but were they supposed to do something? What does that electrical outlet symbol above them mean? And If you have a tip... please let me know.

Glad yo liked it mfgp2. I'll level with you I really don't know how to fix that, its an annoying bug that I think came from having it on a server with certain settings :/

I loved it, I was super happy at Christmas with this gift, I started personalizing it and built my own chalet with a view, but... when I went to record... I was very frustrated. I disabled autosave because I like having the power to test and redo. please. How can I make the world saveable?

Sevenser you can paint voxels just by using the voxel hand tool and selecting a voxel material and holding middle mouse button to paint
