Descriere
A tool that places wire-controllable particle system emitters, which can be used to add exhaust, smoke, flames, explosions, and more to your builds. Great for vehicles!

This tool uses Source particle systems similar to the info_particle_system map entity.

How to Find Particle Effects

The Advanced Particle Controller tool (see required addons) has a really neat particle browser which you can use to find particle system names for use with this tool. The addon is not required, but recommended for that reason.

This addon is not intended to replace the Advanced Particle Controller and does not replicate every single function that addon has.

Basic Usage

1. Pick a particle system using Advanced Particle Controller's browser, see above.

2. Enter the particle system name into the Wire Particle System Tool menu.

3. Spawn the emitter and place on your build. Use the Red/Green/Blue (X/Y/Z) axes to help aim your effect.

4. Wire the "A" input to whatever you want to control the particle system, for example a Wire Button.

5. Parent the emitter to your build, using Multi Parent or an equivalent tool. Once parented, the emitter's halo will turn green!

Particle effects may not "follow" the emitter properly unless it is parented to something. This is most important for moving builds, like vehicles.

Advanced Usage

The Wire Particle System emitter has an input that allows you to feed it a particle system name, instead of relying on the default which is set in the tool menu. This allows you to instantly switch between different effects!

It also has an input to set an auto-repeat interval. Normally this is not necessary, but you can use it to "loop" particle effects that don't normally support looping.
