Winter Farming

Description
Plants take damage in winter when the square they are on is below a configurable temperature (default 5°C), unaffected by windchill. Local temperature is checked and a plant potentially damaged even when the player is far away from the plant and it's not currently loaded. This means you can make a greenhouse in the dead of winter to farm, if you want.

Cold Damage Stages
  1. <5°C (or sandbox configured temperature): 0-2 damage (or 1-3 with double damage sandbox setting)
  2. <0°C (or 5 below sandbox setting): 3-7 damage (or 8-12 with double damage sandbox setting)
  3. <-10°C (or 15 below sandbox setting): 8-12 damage (or 18-22 with double damage sandbox setting)

Sandbox settings are located under Nature. By default, plants are only damaged during daylight hours; this can be toggled off to allow overnight temperature drops to do damage.

Although I've playtested this mod for some time in single player, note it's currently untested in multiplayer as I do not currently have a dedicated server running. Nonethless, I've tried my best to ensure it should work in multiplayer without issue; if there are any issues, please let me know in the comments so I can fix them (if there aren't any, confirming it would be helpful too).

Feel free to include this mod in mod packs or do whatever you want with it.

@Inferno, to your question, this mod is quite efficient in that it checks the temperature on that particular tile, if you wall your crops indoors, or farm in a greenhouse, then the indoor temperature will be much better for them. In my testing I dumped an antique oven outside, and crops took damage proportionately to how far away from the oven they were. It says as much in the description above and does work just so.

Interestingly, just like the other mod Frostbite Farming, both mods work perfectly as long as I remain in range of the crops, however leaving the cell causes the water levels on the crops to reset to 0, and they die of dehydration in only a few hours.

Irrigation is incompatible whit almos anything

Sadly this mod is incompatible with Drip Irrigation mod, https://steamproxy.net/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2464581798 , only the one that's loaded last will work. Any possibility of a patch? :3

How does this damage avoid? Does it work with Greenhouse?
