Genshin Impact Voices for WOTC

Description
This mod features the English VO from every single Genshin Impact playable character released through version 4.5. It has been a labor of love spanning 2 years of near full time sifting through, organizing and editing clips. It includes lines from every single limited time event in addition to permanent content. It may just be the largest voice pack ever made for X-Com 2.

Features:
-81 Unique voices
-28,583 Lines of dialog
-Radio effect applied
-Lore friendly with exceptions. I have tried to remove as many names/places/magic words as possible, but some characters have unusual traits not expected in a traditional soldier. A majority of characters are mostly lore friendly. Exceptions most notably include Qiqi, YaoYao, Klee, and Fischl.
-Bonus! Flags for the elements.
-WOTC only. Thanks to WOTC asset cooking, the file size and memory footprint are tiny for how many lines there are.

Some characters have fewer lines than ideal. The following characters are mostly there for the sake of 100% completion of the roster and may get repetitive quickly: Qiqi, Aloy, YaoYao, Lumine, Aether, Dori, Shenhe.

QA:

Will this mod be updated with new characters?

- Probably, but it takes a lot of time.

Will new lines for existing characters be added?

- Yes

What about NPCs with lots of screen-time?

- Sorry no. The time that has gone into this project leaves me too burned out to go that far.

What about the previous Tighnari VO?

- Due to the scandal around this, he will not be included.

Oz? Or other companions?

- Sorry, it didn't work out.

Paimon?

- Nope. While sifting through the lines, I have had to endure hundreds of hours of her shrill voice. My sanity couldn't take digging through all the files again.

Why did you do this?

- I initially just wanted to make packs for my favorite characters - but because all the files are unsorted and unlabeled after extraction, I still had to listen to every single one to categorize by character. At that point, half the work was already done for all the characters.

How do these characters compare with those from other Genshin mods?

-I have not used other Genshin mods because I did not want to become influenced by their line selection. This mod includes all applicable lines of dialog from versions 1.0 to 4.5, including thousands of longer lines edited down to size. It does not include content from outside the game such as live streams, or VA interviews.

There are certainly some lines on to the wrong character or cue. When trying to sort tens of thousands of files, many with the same voice actors, it is inevitable there will be mix ups. It is also surprising how different the same person can sound in different versions. Please comment with any mistakes here and I will do my best to resolve them.

Finally, after thousands of hours of work on this project, it is done. I hope you will enjoy playing it!

What I hope to be the fix is published now. Could someone confirm for me whether or not they are now visible on non-specialized soldiers without the use of the mod Unrestricted Customization? I did test locally, but given that I missed this once before, confirmation would be appreciated. Thanks!

Sorry about that. I didn't realize I made a mistake when I added special soldier types because I use unrestricted customization mod and they all show up regardless. I am working on uploading the fix. For some reason Steam wasn't notifying me of comments here so it took me so long to notice something was wrong.

For anyone having issues, I also had a problem with the voice packs appearing after downloading the mod. However I found out they only refused to show up for regular soldiers, but not for the templars, skirmishers, and reapers; those were fine. After some digging around the files I found a solution that works! In the XcomContent.ini file, I set all the SpecializedType=true lines to SpecializedType=false for regular soldier voice packs (leave the templar skirmisher and reaper ones be). After i did that, they started showing up on regular soldiers.

That aside, huge, massive thanks to the author for making this. The amount of work need is kinda mind-boggling, and I can only say: amazing job.

Hey, I'm new to trying to install voice packs so this is most likely on me. I installed the mod and checkmarked the mod in the 2k launcher with my other mods. couldn't find the voices in the character pool when making a solder. I tried again by only launching the game with the community highlander and this mod activated to make sure there was not just a conflicting mod. Still no effect. I went into a campaign and attempted to customize a random soldier from the armory. Still could not find the voices. Yes I can verify that I'm running WOTC and not vanilla XCOM 2. I'm not using any customization mods, just the regular character customization thing. The only thing that is mod related that I see is the nationalities. Is there anything special I'm just forgetting to do?

Running into an issue when using this pack with Iridars Appearence Manager. When selecting a female soldier, the female voices don't show up for some reason. I've used this pack before with no issues with UCR for example, just an odd thing.

this is so neat and well made, Good job!

It is cooked so it shouldn't have much of an impact on performance unless your system is already maxed out, particularly RAM. For a point of comparison, I am running LWOTC with 200+ mods and my load time first loading the game is <1 minute and load times for missions or to return to the avenger is about 10-15 seconds. This is on a 6 year old PC with the game on a SSD. With all these mods it still loads faster than vanilla XCom2 since WoTC made loading so much faster in general.

I really want to try this but I'm worried that all the extra voice files will end up making my load times ass numbingly long while lagging my game to death.
