"Battering Ram" Heavy Cruiser Tank

A heavy cruiser tank designed for operations in arid and desert environments.


Originally designed for border patrol along the Great Dividing Range, the MK1 was designed with a large naturally aspirated 10 cylinder engine (From Slow Cat), allowing relatively fast speeds for a tank of this size up to 48kph on level ground.
This tank, number 12, was built after the turn of the century, being retrofitted with a larger, 75mm cannon, allowing for longer range engagements against potential targets. The tank boasts a crew of 3, with a driver, commander and gun operator, with the gunner or commander being responsible for loading the cannon.
Other variants of the tank allow for additional crew with the addition of a bow gun.

Notes:
Steering is done through gearboxes, turning should be done at low speeds to avoid damage

June 1921:
It's been a rough few months, we are facing breakdowns nearly everyday now, usually they have been small things like replacing an air filter on the intake, but with the lack of a good maintenance as we continue across the desert, the problems have been getting worse.
It's been a quiet patrol though, most days just consist of driving north and stopping through villages to refuel before setting up camp somewhere for the night.
I can't complain too much, it's pretty peaceful.
Being able to sit on the edge of the world under the stars makes it worth it.
