The cause appears to be my removing of the patch operations targeting those hediffs. I tried commenting out, I tried deletion. I tried one hediff at a time. The only way my game does not crash is if I leave those sections of code untouched. Until I figure out what's going on, you're just going to have to deal with redundant patch operations. Only the dark gods which lurk in the void can help you now.

For example, when I use the word of productivity psycast I have to go into the info tab and check the global work speed stat to see if they're still affected.
Would it be within the preview of this mod to have them show up in the health tab?
Yeah, a bunch of beneficial hediffs were left untagged, which caused them to default to <isBad>false</isBad>.
