Description
Sometimes you want to start a game specifically to try some cool new things, or for a construction project you have in mind, etc. But you have to take the time to go through the new-game process of tons of observation and a bunch of early-game research projects to get to the point where you can do those things. All of which is very same-same in every game.

The point of this mod is to give a way to shortcut that early game stuff so you can get to what you are actually wanting to try out sooner. I made it for myself a long time ago, mainly so I can get to mid-game faster for purposes of testing out my various other mods.

This mod adds a single research project to the game for an accelerated game start. Completing this project unlocks the following technologies/observations all at once:
  • Lightning Rods
  • Basic Tailoring
  • Basic Weaponry
  • Basic Construction
  • Toolsmithing.
  • Graincob
  • Blade Grass
  • Clothblossom

The mod also increases wood and stick quantity gained per tree and bush when cutting them down and unlocks the Area Flag from the game start, with no research required.

It didn't overwrite them until you opened your mod in the editor and then saved it with this mod active at the same time.
That's what happens when you have two mods changing the same items, as I said.

The way around it is to make sure you disable (unload) such other mods before opening yours in the editor, or the local copy edit of the other mod as I already mentioned.

Unfortunately, your mod [b[OVERWROTE[/b] my mod files, & sometimes I would not notice until AFTER I uploaded to Steam. I didn't notice the 'wood/stick bonus' in your description, so took me several rounds of overwrites until I noticed. (Not your fault; the program should not allow this)
Fortunately I have some 7z archives.

I just wanted the tech bonuses anyhow, even before making my Tree mod. So I'm testing just adding the Techs to "Cheat Characters". Maybe I'll add a Tech that allows more wood harvested; I already make more sticks from trees.

That's what happens when you have two mods that are touching the same game assets enabled at the same time, @reeight. I use a few mods from other people that have similar interactions with my own mods. What I do is make local copies of those other mods to adjust the parts that overlap.

Sad to report this conflicts with my Trees are Terrific mod; I had to re-edit my files 5 times due to overwrites. :/

Have you thought about modifying the day and night sensor so that it turns on according to the hours instead of the time of day?
I also wondered if it would be possible to increase the output in the hydroponic machine.
